I have my op on the 12th, I’m super excited but have started to worry about how I’m going to sleep.
I struggle to sleep anyway, and have been on various sleeping tablets the past few years – which to be honest don’t help that much… But I also sleep on my front or my side?!
Did anyone else find this a problem, and how long is it until you can feel comfortable sleeping on your side again?

    Hey!

I’m 5 days post op today and I have been sleeping no lower than a 45 degree angle up right. It’s not the comfiest but just have loads of pillows around you to keep you up right. You are not suppose to lay down until the nurses have advised you as being up right helps your swelling.

    Hope this helps xx

I’m exactly like you hun, love sleeping on my front and sides. I had my op 2 weeks ago, and by now I’m really tired of sleeping upright and only one position. I have been naughty and have tried turning slightly onto a side but it’s not comfortable at all.. Really struggling with this and hope soon I’ll be able to have a decent nights sleep. But for me, everything’s worth it. So don’t let it put you off.

    Good luck on 12th xx

Oh no way 🙁 thanks babe I hope you do too!
I can cope with pain so have a feeling it’ll be the thing I find hardest. You’ll have to let me know how you get on xx

I had my op on the 13th April and was dreading the sleeping as I always sleep on my front, but in all honestly it hasn’t been a problem as of yet it’s amazing how tired you will be after your op I think I could sleep anywhere! Xx

That’s alright then, I’m hoping to be really sleepy, it’s just something I struggle with anyway 🙁 If not I’ll have to go back on the sleeping tablets.
Have you found it uncomfortable to sleep? X
