I had my op on Monday (260cc unders) and have had some problems with my right side since then, first the drain caused lot of pain and discomfort on the right boob, then the incision has been hurting and feeling tight, especially when I have to pull myself up from bed. I saw the nurse on Wednesday to check if it’s okay and they said not to worry, but still even if I have taken the painkillers every 6 hours the stabbing pain is there when I get up, it feels stinging and like the incision is opening every time that happens. I’m seeing the nurse today again to possibly take off the strapping, but still a bit worried and wondering if anyone had the same? xx

Hey hun I had the same I remember day 6 I went to MacDonals and I had to get a cab home I literally was in tears in agony from a stabbing pain in my incisions. I had that a few times but thankfully it has gone now and I am sure yours will soon too. Paramol is very good! I rang a nurse because I really thought something was wrog and she said its totally normal as the nerves have been cut and are trying to repair I can only imagine the pain that stabbing victims must go though 🙁

Sorry to hear you had the same issue, glad you’re healed well now though. The nurse told me the exact same thing today – so now thinking about the pain as more positive than negative. It’s all part of the healing process so no need to panic. xx
