Stockings ??

Morning, wanted to know how long we are meant to keep the stockings on, just had my check with the nurse but forgot to ask? Mya operator can you help?xx

My nurse said 5 days?!!! Wondering what I am going to wear which goes with those beauties!!! Xx

Hi Hun the nurse said about 7 days or until you are mobilising as normal, sometimes this is slightly longer, i took mine off in the day after 4 days, and just slept in them overnight for the remaining 3 days xx

I didn’t know this!! No one has mentioned this to me. Did they just tell you at the hospital to keep them on? X

Thanks Hun, I’m 1 week post op tomorrow so do the same from tomorrow! No my surgeon told me to keep them on and the nurse on the day too, just forgot how long for, how far are you post op becca?xx

I was told to keep mine on for 7 days, I have done absolutely everything by the book that I have been told to apart from the stocking and took them off a few days earlier, they were so tight to put back on and I live on my own so getting them back on was to much trouble my friend did do them one day for me. I made sure I didn’t sit around for long periods got up and walked around as much as possible. X

I havdnt been told this either, weird question do I have to buy my own or will they give me some? Xx

They will give you them on surgery day and get you to keep them on from then onwards Hun!x

Yes I was told 7 days by nurse in hospital and I could take them off if I was up and about for def for sleeping and sitting for 7 days x
