    Hey ladies,
Just booked my surgery for the end of April in London with Dr Giannas.
Does anyone have any reassuring words for me? Just read some terrible things about MYA on this forum literally moments after paying my deposit!
Also does anyone have any advice on what to pack for the big day and what I need to get in preparation for the aftermath? Things I’ve thought of so far: V pillow, post-op bra, straws for drinking water (I saw someone said on here it made life much easier!), painkillers. Thanks ladies xx

I’ve not had mine done yet, got my first consultation this week but from my research these are the tips i’ve found:
    – Bendy straws – easier to drink as can’t lift properly
    – Macom bra
    – Portable charger
    – ipad
    – Have yoghurt before taking tablets to line stomach and stop sickness
    – V shaped pillow & neck travel pillow (primark)
    – Icepacks to reduce swelling (wrapped not wet)
    – Actimel yoghurts (to help go toilet)
    – Pillow (in the car going home)
    – Dressing gown for surgery
    – Tracksuit – zip up hoodie to wear home
    – Slippers & pjs button up front (if night case)
    – Armpits waxed – be hard to shave for a few days
    – Take “stool softener” day before op
    – Tablets left open if i’ll be alone all day – can’t unscrew lid
