Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could offer advice on their experience with teardrop implants? A couple of years ago I met a girl who had teardrops and her boobs were the most amazing pair I’ve ever seen.
I can’t seem to find many before/after photos so I’m guessing they’re not that common?

    Thanks xx

Hey, I had teardrop implants! I will be six weeks on Sunday! I was a 34a and had 330cc. I’m loving them so far! Are you getting teardrops? X

I’m just researching at the minute. I have breast tissue but after having two children they sit lower than they used to. I’d like a really natural looking shape so thought teardrops might offer that?

Why did you choose to have teardrops? X

Tbh there are studies that Prove tear drops look no different than round once fully settled, general public and other surgeons have not been able to tell the difference after fully settled boobs are compared im a line up. it’s the surgeon that made her boobs looks so amazing which is why it is important to choose your surgeon carefully and look at his/her previous work and explain fully the look you want to achieve, even take pictures of your ideal boobs to your consultstion, There is very small risk of flipping with teardrops which is y the majority prefer round and only tend to use tear drops with a Breast uplift or if the patient ha limited Breast tissue on top this shape may suit better but in normal small boobs where the patient is only concerned by size round is best, however some surgeons will happily go with Ur request of teardrops if that’s what you want but I recommened going with wat your surgeon suggests xx

I stressed to my surgeon that I wanted my boobs to look as natural as possible. He said he can achieve this with round but he did also offer me teardrop shape but he did say there’s a 4% chance that they could flip. In the end I went for round as I’ve seen so many pictures of people with round implants and they do look so natural so I went with the round (although the flip risk is only 4%, it’s 4% higher than what I’d like) but it is down to personal preference and the surgeon will the best person to go through it all with you

Too often people talk about the risk of flipping with teardrops but forget to mention the risks associated with rounds, just saying. Go with what you want and what you’re surgeon suggests. I chose teardrops because I wanted the most natural look possible and that is exactly what I have achieved. Don’t listen to anyone else, this is your choice and your choice only! Private message me if ya want to know anything more about my experience with teardrops! Xxx

Hi I had teardrops yesterday. Wasn’t given a choice as even though I was a a cup/empty b I had very little tissue to work with and my surgeon said round would end up giving me a ‘ridge’ because of this. Obviously can’t comment on the look of them yet with only having them done 24 hours ago but so far I love them and even though they are swollen and sitting high they do look quite natural still! I’ll try and get a pic on my profile when I’m feeling a little less tired xx

Hi all, my surgeon has asked me to consider teardrops too as I have very little breast tissue although he said I could take time to think about it and discuss again with him on the day. Initially it was teardrop I wanted but reading about the risk of flipping has put the fear right in me. Would love to see pics if anyone is willing to share, if that’s not too weird to ask. I’m a nervous wreck lol xx

Teardrops are normally recommended to girls with breast deformities and something else to do with lack of breast tissue I think. I too was going to ask for teardrops but then read a major research study was taken on Girls with virgin “normal” breast (like no deformities/never been operated on) who had tear drop and round implants and the surgeons couldn’t tell which girl had, had what. So if you fall in that category I would go for round as apparently they are the safer and less riskier option and you won’t see the difference but that’s just from the research I’ve done. Obviously the choice is yours! Xx

It’s also important to GP for a surgeon who has performed a lot of teardrop bas as I read in realself.com that they are inserted differently and there is a knack to them.
There are risks wirh rounds and teardrops no doubt but it really comes down to the experience ur surgeon has and good communication.

I’m made up with my rounds and I’ve been told by many people they look super natural u would be surprised by the subtle changes they go through in the first few months. My girls dont look or feel like they did even at 6 months anymore and I’m nearly 8 months post.

It may help if u go along to one of the forum meet up tht Mya has started becasue I would her the chance to meet some girls who are post op ans maybe cop a feel so to speak.

Hi Steph I’ll send you a pic if you’d like? Still have my bra on but would give you an idea? Also as someone mentioned definitely go for someone who’s used to teardrops, my surgeon uses them in 80% of his surgeries as generally they are his preference xx

Thanks girls for your help, my surgeon uses them often and he has a proven history using them it’s just I read so many conflicting pieces of information! I honestly feel like I’m leaning more towards round implants but it might just be because I haven’t spoken with a lot of people who have gotten teardrop. From what I’ve seen they both look amazing. I’ve had zero boobs for so long I’m a bit worried that teardrops won’t have the big impact I’m hoping for??

@clare141 that’d be amazing, I will send you a friend request. The closer I get to my op the more confused I seem to get, think it’s boob fog lol I’ve spent so much time reading up I’m losing my mind xx
