I’m going into MYA in Cardiff next week for an initial appointment. I had a consult with Harley Medical Group a few weeks ago and they sounded great, but the reviews are a mixed bag. Same for MYA. Lots of people saying they have aftercare issues. Which worries me becuase so many people need help after and they all seem to have a hard time?!?!

I’m a 32H… These boobs need to go!

Hi! I had a breast reduction and uplift on 17th August… I found the whole experience great! Everyone was lovely and I was fully informed and prepared for the surgery. My surgeon Mr Mourin was so lovely too and made me feel comfortable and helped to make the right decisions for me and my body. The hospital stay went well and the nurses were lovely! I didn’t want to leave after just one night ? my after care so far has been really good and they provide phones numbers and people to talk to if you have any worries after surgery and need help or have any questions! This forum is really helpful too! I highly recommend MYA to all my friends thinking about surgery now, the whole experience has been great and couldn’t have asked for a better experience through surgery…. Good luck xxx

I had my breast reduction almost a year ago and I’ve never looked back!
I also saw Harley and I admit that I loved them! However the horror stories online put me off and I couldn’t find anything online. I couldn’t fault the care I received from MYA. I healed really slowly and the surgeon and nurse were so supportive the entire time. The team at the hospital – I was at the Fitzroy – were also brilliant and took the best care of me during my two night stay. I would recommend MYA to anyone

Thanks both 🙂 I’m a natural stress head and just worry about everything. I can’t get the op done until the spring because of other requirements before then so I think I just have too much time to think about everything!!! Zoe I had a look at your pics and you look amazing!! I love how they’ve made them sit nice and (naturally) close!!

Your nips still seem a bit swollen on the last pic? Is that just because of the angle or are they still healing? I know these things can take a fair ole while.

You’re all so lovely and honest! Ita amazing that MYA offer this space for us to chat freely.

This space is great for honest advice and stories… From consultation to op it was only 2 weeks and 3 days for me so I had no time to really worry too much! I had my moments of thinking whether I really wanted it or not but that was just nerves and I knew from being 17 I wanted the op. I will be picking up my before and after pics soon so I can post them if you want to see, at the min I only have 1 at home after pic but only shows the above and gives and idea of shape …. Everyone’s experience will be different, I didn’t start using this til after my op, but I wish I had before now, it would have calmed my nerves! Haha
As for the healing I’m now 18 days post op and I can already see a difference, so so glad I had it done now. Hope it all goes well! Xx

That’s just the way my nipples look and sit now as I needed the areolas reducing a fair bit! The picture may just be the angle 🙂

I always knew from the age of 15 I wanted a breast reduction and by the time my op date came, I was so so ready for it that at no point did I feel nervous and I’d never had surgery before. I’d go back and do it all again.

My surgery was nearly a year ago but I still use the forum because when I decided to have my operation, there weren’t many reduction girls posting on forums like this or others, I think it’s important our stories and experiences are here x

The consultation went well today 🙂 my PC explained things really well. She recommended Mr Marcellino but I can see most people on here have seen Mr Mourin. Any experiences of Mr Marcellino???

Also, in terms of back pain, shoulder pain etc how has everyone been since? Has it been significantly better? I get really bad neck and back pain which is why I want the reduction.

    Xx

Other than waking up and feeling like I’d been hit by a bus and being off my face on morphine (Which was awesome) I lost my back pain immediately. The only time I suffer with aches is after work and I work with young children so it’s understandable.

My surgeon was Mr Singh so I can’t relate on surgeon recommendation but I hear your potential surgeon is fantastic too. Perhaps ask the breast enlargement girls about him?
