This might sound stupid… But

How do you shower if you can’t get your strapping wet?
I can’t not shower for a week lol

You can’t shower 🙁 I hated it too…I took shallow baths, baby wiped my torso & my boyfriend washed my hair with a jug over the sink.
Sucks, but one week goes so fast!

Are you able to wear deodorant? Omg lol, thanks. Does it hurt when you can finally have a shower too? Xx

I very carefully applied roll-on deodorant. I’m not sure if you’re ‘allowed’ to do that, but it didn’t cause me any issues.
It feels really odd having your bra off when you’ve just had them done, because you’re not used to the weight…but I can’t say I really experienced any pain 🙂

I wasn’t allowed for 17 days!! Told I can’t shower until I get my dressings off after day 14 and then my nurse said I needed to wait 3 more days before I was allowed. Luckily I don’t sweat or feel grubby so I managed with baby wipes and I sat down in the shower and just held the shower against my lower half so I could wash my bottom half of me lol x

Alice – partners are extremely vital to the hair washing process 😉

Hair washing….
I helped my sister wash her hair when she had her breasts done, my mum has a shower with a tray at her house so my sister lay on the floor with a towel round her shoulders to try and keep her dry and put her head back like we were in the hairdressers, if family / close friends have a shower with a tray rather than over the bath perhaps you could go to their house and have them help you X

Thanks ladies, looks like I’ll be stocking up on baby wipes lol. My partner isn’t very helpful So I hope when he actually here’s it from a surgeon he will take me more serious about how he will have to help me lol. Xx

It’s two weeks generally, I booked into a salon every couple of days to have hair washed best thing I did xx
