    Hi ladies

In my first consultation I was told that the skin on my right breast was very tight so this would limit what size implants I could have – I think he said max on that said would be 225 withthe left having 250 to make up for the assymetery.

I didn’t decide to go with this surgeon as the way he wanted to do the procedure sounded too complex and in fact, I’d never known anyone to have what he was suggesting (actually, It wasn’t the main reason I didn’t choose him, he appeared arrogant which I didn’t like).

The surgeon I did choose hasn’t even mentioned tight skin, and said if it wasn’t for my assymetery it would be a straight forward procedure, and just said go away and decide what size you would like and I’ll tell you whether it’s possible.

Has anyone else been told that they have tight skin and so it would limit the size implant?

I also had assymetry in my left boob and have a difference of 25cc, (350cc and 375cc), to go over the muscle my surgeon said there wasn’t enough skin able to do it which suited me fine because I wanted partials anyways rather than overs as personally they look more natural than overs. My surgeon asked me what bra size ballpark I wanted to go to which was from an empty b to a rough full d cup or smaller side of dd and with mine have now ended up an F cup which considering sounds huge actually fits my frame really well so the point of my story is to find a surgeon who you “click” with and trust their advice and opinions cuz they have such a great knowledge if you tell them what it is you want from surgery (as everyone is different) they can advise you the size and look you want xx

Thank you for your post @jenna x ☺️

I aholautely trust the surgeon I’ve chosen, I immediately felt at ease and his reviews on other sites are amazing (think top 3) so I have no concerns at all.

My assymetery isn’t an issue really, I’m not concerned about that, it’s more the restrictions that having tight skin may cause. I’m having overs, which I’m happy about, and the first surgeon said overs but he wanted to put a round implant in my left and an anatomical in my right due to the tightness of the skin ? which I didn’t like the sound of (and he was super expensive, again excellent reputation but definitely gone to his head). The surgeon I have chosen said overs would be better as I’m not skinny and I don’t plan on being skinny (I’m at my best at a Size 12) so there isn’t a need for them to go under or partially under, but again.

To be fair, the first surgeon didn’t really examine properly, he just sat on the bed in front of me and made recommendations from eye, whereas the surgeon I’ve chosen measured and gave a better examination so maybe he has a better idea because he actually examined me.

I work with doctors on a daily basis so I know the importance of being comfortable with your physician and trusting them, and this was the biggest reason why I have chosen my surgeon, I immediately felt at ease and I very much ran the consultation with him giving suggestions/guidance. He said he will go into more detail and carry out a proper examination to get proper 3D measurements etc (with one of those machines that look like transformers!) so we’ll probably have a better idea then!

Noone mentioned tight skin specifically but I was very petit and was told 240cc was my absolutely maximum. I have very very slight rippling if I bend a certain way but my partner can’t even tell and 240cc got me to a 28F so don’t underestimate a small implant!
