I’m looking for some personal stories about Vaser Lipo. I’ve got a consultation with Dr Alan Kingdon tomorrow, I’ve researched the procedure and understand what I’m letting myself in for. I’m a fairly slim person. I’ve very active and exercise 3 -4 times a week. I have a slim upper body and legs but the very top of my thighs, hips, flanks and lower belly is where I store my weight and quite frankly my body looks out or proportion. It seems Vaser is a good option. Looking at before and after pictures through a google search some of the pics worry me as there isn’t much of a difference. I guess I’m a little worried about the final results and spending thousands of pounds and still looking the same! Does anyone have any personal experiences, pics etc… they can share please.

Hi Rachel, I’m exactly the same as you. I live healthily, go to the gym all the time and even have a personal trainer, and I eat salads, veg and lean protein but I can’t shift it off my flanks, inner/outer thighs and lower tum! I have a consultation with Dr Kingdon on the 9th April (wish it was sooner) but I’ve read great things about him. Not many people on here seem to have had him for Vaser though (or they’re not saying) PLEASE let me know how you get on today 🙂 xx

I’ll let you know. I’m very nervous about the whole thing. He seems to be a great surgeon for advance lipo, liposuction but I can’t find anything on vasar.I’ve got lots of questions to ask him so I’ll keep you updated ….eek!

Yeah I’ve found the same but my PC told me that he trains other surgeons in Vaser. What time is your appointment?x

Well ladies, firstly, Dr Kingdon is such a lovely man. He put me at ease and was very honest. He said advanced laser would be a better option for me rather than Vasar. He said that they are very similar and given that I just have a few stubborn areas the results would be the same. He felt it was pointless me paying extra money for Vasar when the results would be the same. I did wonder whether this was because he wasn’t trained with Vasar or whether he doesn’t have the Vasar equipment at his surgery – every the cynic me! ha
Anyway, we agreed with the upper and lower tummy and flanks. I did ask about my inner thighs but he said he felt that they don’t need it. I’ve come away confused because I had researched Vasar and am now changing to lasar. After seeing the results I 100% want the procedure and he was sure I would be happy with the end result. I guess I just want to be sure that lasar is the way to go rather than vasar…

good luck! you can go for another consultation with the doc who does vaser, to be 100% sure. i think i saw quite a few articles on difference btw vaser and laser lipo on the internet. i think you will find lots of things on google. xx

Ah how exciting! What were the before and after pics like? What size are you now? I think he might say a similar thing to me but I’m kind Of set on vaser now so he’d have to do some persuading. What are the prices like for laser? Also miss v who did your vaser??xx

After doing a bit of research I might go for advanced laser too. I only have small areas so if its less down time and cheaper I might go for it xx

Vasar is about £1k more than Lasar I think but the Dr was sure the results for me would be similar. i went along to the hospital group for a consultation today. I rang and they managed to squeeze me in. The Dr was of the same opinion. He said that Vasar is really popular right now and the in thing to have but lasar and vasar are very similar. I prefer Dr Kingdon so I rang and booked the procedure this afternoon. I’m booked in for 17th April :-/

I’m having the surgery in Birmingham but I was happy to travel wherever really ass i live in Cardiff and we don’t have a surgery here. My clothes size at the moment is a size 8 on top. I’m a 10 on the bottom but I’ve literally got this overhang muffin top that I want rid of. I’ll post a pic in a bit of my body at the moment if i can find one. I was offered the 10th, 11th or 17th. Each date had just 2 hour slots. I understand the 10th + 17th are now full but 11th is still available. These dates were available with Dr Kingdon for Lasar or Vasar.

What!!!! I was told there weren’t any earlier dates!! 🙁 ill investigate tomorrow. I think we’re in the same situation, I’m an 8 on top, 10 on bottom. You excited?xx

I am but also worried that i won’t get the results I won’t having paid so much money. I’m glad I choose lasar though as the recovery period is quicker and given that I enjoy the gym so much I want to have as little time away as possible. I think the date on 11th was in Chiswick. It was still available this morning so definately double check.

Rang up today! Those are laser days but I have been considering laser since it has a quicker recovery time and it is more tweeking that I’m after rather than large areas. I don’t know what to do Haha!! Did Mr K say how many areas you can have treated at once with laser or is it like vaser and based on time?xx
