I need some advice! I am going to a wedding next week and I am desperate not to wear my post op bra for the day. I will be 5 weeks 4 days, do you think I’ll be Ok for one day (probably be about 9 hours!) wearing a normal underwired bra? My incisions have healed so well so I’m not worried about them… opinions / experiences please ?

Hi, I wouldn’t wear an underwire bra hun. Primark do some non wire bras which I’m sure you will be fine in for a few hours x

I think would be absolutely fine. Esp if wounds healed. I wore from 6 weeks and that’s only a few days off.

And been wearing ever since. So good to have a normal bra!

These are my incisions so all i am concerned about is the support tbh! I may try the primary non wired ones !! X

I m 12 weeks post op and I still find wore bras so uncomfy. My surgeon said not to wear wore bra for 3 months as they can irritate the bottom on implant and the scars. Go braless or wear non wired bras.

My surgeon said I only have to wear the bra for 4 weeks (everyone is different tho) so I’m sure you should be fine xx

Matalan do a post op bra if you are wanting normal straps on a bra rather than sports type and it still gives good support x

I could wear normal bras from 4 weeks and I’m fact the surgeon insisted as the support underwired bras give help the implants take shape and fall into place, that was his advice for me anyway. My incisions looked similar to yours at 4 weeks.

Hi Holly, I went braless quite early on at like 2 weeks (for a few hours!!) because I felt great, but from experience wouldn’t advise underwired normal bras for a while, I’m about 8 weeks now but underwires still feel a little uncomfortable I must admit… as someone else said, as if the wires are irritating the incision area. What about a wireless bra? Victoria’s Secret semi annual sale just started and they have some really amazing comfy wireless bras that just look like normal bras (like the sexy illusions range and T-shirt bras) I’ve tried on loads in there and they are sooo comfy but still give the lift and flatter the cleavage like a normal bra!

    Thanks Phoebe
I ordered a wireless one from M&S and it’s so comfy, I just wanna wear it all the time lol. I am 5 weeks today but I feel so good, and been so lucky with incisions healing well !
