When did everyone start to wear their sports bra/post surgery bra. It says within my post op instructions to wear one as soon as you feel comfortable or to alternatively wait till the bandages come off. What’s peoples opinions, I also feel like I may have bought the wrong size and unsure if it’s just swelling and will fit or if it’s actually too tight x

Mine was put on me at the hospital over my strapping. Different surgeons seem to do different things. I would give your nurse a ring!

Oh okay thankyou yeah they all seem to have a different way of doing things, but it’s so hard to tell if you have the right size or not aswell. Cause I was told I would be a C/D but not a full D, but I’ve since read reviews and got opinion that they sometimes tell you smaller to lower your expectations so I bought the 32 D marks and spencer once but maybe I needed a bigger back size I’m just so unsure x

You’ll be swollen too this first week. And I totally agree they don’t really work in bra sizes. I asked for DD and said I want to be a full DD or E not a D/DD and I’m a FF now haha! But honestly delighted I went with my surgeons reccomendation because they fit my frame perfectly. If I were u i would buy the Amazon yianna bra. Cheap £15 Macom alternative and I majorly preferred it to my Macom. I was a medium so you would probably be a small.

Yeah I said I wanted to be a D but he said I’d be more a C I just trusted his opinion cause he had really good reviews. Yeah with swelling and things it’s so hard to tell a final size but I’m going to have a look at those ones on Amazon then ????x

My bra was put on straight after my opp too but yea I would double check, hope it all went well for you and your recovery has been good so far :). I got bought two 32DD sports bras from M&S and found one really comfortable and one really tight and awful even though they were the same size lol, maybe you could try a bigger size for while your swollen as when I wore the one that felt tight I was in a bit of pain whereas the other one I just felt comfortable and supported, my mum wore my spare one to try and stretch it for me lol so you could always try that as well xx

Yeah thankyou I’ve not been bad at all cause a lot of girls says they struggle with arm movement but mine feel fine. It’s my ribs that hurt the most. Yeah I bought the one from marks and Spencer’s but i literally can’t close it so I may need a bigger back size. On my post op instructions they recommended a bra from Matalan and when I spoke with my friend that has had hers done she said those ones are better to wear as the sports bras are too much pressure on the implants x
