I’m 6 days post op and have terrible pain and discomfort in my right incision, left is absolutely fine. Can’t stand up properly or breathe deeply because it feels like it’s pulling and this makes me feel faint and ill. It feels like the dressing on this incision is really hard, too. Just investigated with my camera and looks like a lot of nastiness has been oozing out (you can see it through the strapping). Scared what’s going to be unearthed when the strapping comes off. Anybody had the same??x

I didn’t have strapping so can’t comment on that but I would def recommend calling your nurse in the morning. I’m sure they will want to check it over to rule out infection. Are you still taking painkillers? Hope they get to the bottom of it for you and your discomfort eases ASAP xx

I had horrendous pulling pain in my right, my nurse told me from where I was pointing to it was directly where the surgeon puts his end stitch so it had the most tension pulling there. I didn’t feel it until day 7 and by day 14 after totally resting it completely disapeard . I’m now 4weeks no pain what so ever. Defo book in with the nurse hun, let the professionals have a look xxx

It’s the dark patch of something bleurgh beneath the strapping that’s concerning me…? (Not too easy to see on the photo) Panicking there’s going to be some big horrible infected mess underneath, or some horrific huge scab that’s going to come away when the nurse takes the dressing off :-/ Hope no-one’s eating. Sorry. I’ve managed to get an appointment with the nurse for 4:30 tomorrow, thankfully. Hope my boob doesn’t drop off in the meantime!! I daren’t take another day off either so I’ve got to go in and teach teenagers tomorrow with my old-lady-hunch-walk and goblin belly. Awesome. Silly, silly Emma x

So couldn’t see them at all you’re mind plays tricks on you on how there gunna look! I was convinced mine were infected turns out ther were healing lovely to my surprise Xxx

Aw thanks, SJ. That really helps to hear. I want to be excited about finally meeting my new boobies, not panicked! Your pain sounds just like mine so that’s so reassuring. Thanks so much. The thought of it all makes me cringe and, like you said, our minds can play tricks on us then xx

It was that bad I was hunched over holding under my breast I was convinced it was something really really bad. As long as we’re getting out nurses to check in on us regularly and we rest that’s all we can do, it’s such an important thing wanting to see our new girls and it’s a lot of built up pressure and you worry a hell of a lot, I know I did! Spesh since I new I was gunna have a big anchor scar and then that pain, but I couldn’t be more happy they look incredible!!! I’m sure you’res will too hun just go with the flow it will all be worth it and just follow you’re nurses advice to the t xxx

That’s EXACTLY what I’ve been doing all day. Yesterday I just felt like I needed to hold it if I was getting up or coughing etc but today I’ve been even more hunched and didn’t feel like I could let go. So glad yours have turned out fab for you xx
