Every time you use your arms you are engaging your pectoral muscles so it must be because of that and risking pulling something, if you had unders the muscles will still be really fragile xx

Hiya Hun, my nurse said no driving for two weeks as your insurance don’t cover you, I tried to drive after two weeks and couldn’t change gear, I managed to start driving when I was nearly 3 weeks, I suppose it’s how you feel I have seen girls on here that are driving after a week xxx

I had my one week check today and the nurse said no because of insurance and also if you had to do an emergency stop it could cause an issue. Which is understandable I suppose.
    Annoying though!x

I had my op on a Monday and drove a mile down the road on the Saturday but I found turning a little painful. I then drove a few miles on the Monday (one week PO) and then I was back to work Tuesday which is a 40 minute commute each way and by then I was fine. Just try short distances to start with you will know whether you are ready or not! The rules on driving after GA have changed in the past few years so your insurance should be fine.

Thank u girls! I just found it strange that i got 2 different timescales from the nurses, and the one here didnt really give any explanation so wasnt sure if she just personally said 2 weeks as her own standard time or something! Thanks for replies ?
