I had my BA approximately 5 months ago. Everything was going really really well until just after the 3 month mark where one of my boobs started to drop slightly differently – almost folding forwards rather than pushing my nipple upwards. As time has gone on I feel that this has gotten worse to the extent they now look quite different. I have to hold one arm up quite high to make them appear a similar shape. I am yet to have my final consultation with my surgeon (Mr Traynor) but I’m worried he’s just going to say it is what it is. I had assumed that once they dropped my nipples would be pushed upwards slightly and whilst this is the case with one it isn’t with the other. Has anyone had a similar experience or have a view as to whether a revision is likely?? Any thoughts or experiences would be really welcome! x

Hey Emma sorry to hear this I really hope ur consultation goes well. Please try not to worry I know it’s mad saying tht because it’s only natural but I’m sure there will be a positive resolution to it.
Take ur progress pics along so he can work out when it may have occurred which may help with the diagnosis

Hi Fran – thanks for your message. Hopefully the surgeon will see that the changes over time show that things aren’t going as they should be. Just hoping he says either it’s just part of the process and it looks as if it will correct itself or that I am entitled to a revision. Going for another op is quite daunting as I only feel after 5 months that I have fully recovered from the first time round.

Jess and anyone else who might have any advice/thoughts I will upload a pic to my profile now.

    Thanks both for the response,

    Em xx

Hey hun I’ve just had a look defo major difference of at least two cup sizes in volume.

I’m not an expert but it’s clear there is an issue no way he can deny that. Is it the boob that had the larger implant that looks a lot larger? Does the smaller boob feel hard to the touch? Have you been sleeping on ur side? Have u been wearing a support bra at night like a sports bra for example?

I saw my surgeon just before 3 months post and I was advised to massage mine as one had dropped a bit more than the other.

Honestly babe I would not worry about him saying he can’t or won’t do anything to correct the issue as its very clear there is a volume size problem. They were fluffing and dropping perfectly so I was really surprised to see how they are currently but it will defo be resolved! They really suit ur frame and look amazing natural.

Try to stay positive as hard as it is it will be ok. I’m sorry your journey has gone this way but it won’t stay like this and ur really brave for sharing as it helps others as well as urself. It’s so daunting going through the proceedure and it’s a real roller-coaster journey fxxx

@fran 32 Thanks so much for your reply Fran! I’m glad you can see the issue I’m talking about. I just seriously hope he agrees and does something about it. I started to notice it at around 3.5 months and it has definitely got worse since so I doubt it will correct itself now (after 5 months). The smaller boob is the one that was smaller to start with but had an implant 25cc bigger than the other. The asymmetry was noticeable beforehand but despite attempting to correct it it actually now seems significantly worse! Neither feel hard really I do sleep on my side albeit didn’t for the first 4 weeks and I have had the odd night where I haven’t worn a sports bra to bed but would say I’ve worn one 95% of the time. ! I’m gutted that it’s another 4 weeks till I see the consultant. Now I know it’s not just me I just want it sorted! Thanks for your kind words though – just need to get it resolved ASAP xx

Hey hun no worries glad I can help, ur roughly the same period post op as me. It’s really strange how it happened just after 3 months too.

Tbh u have followed through all the guidelines practically to a T. So I really don’t think u have caused anything to make such physical changes occur. Really good to hear neither feel hard I personally haven’t come across a change like this esp with the larger implant looking significantly smaller months post op but may do a search on realself.com and see if anything comes up.

So annoying u have to wait that long but I guess if u saw a nurse in the meantime it may add more stress to the situation if they can’t directly help although it may calm ur nerves slightly as I can only imagine u must be quite anxious.

However that said please try not to worry babe. Fxxx

Hey just had a quick look on realself.com have a read, the patient is three month post and several times surgeons have noted the same possible causes. Not sure if the link works so I will add image of the thread so I can put in the title for the search engine but hope it helps!

Hi Emma I just looked at your pictures and can see what you mean. Maybe you can make an earlier appointment to help you as waiting four weeks for support is going to be hard. Have a think what you want to helo resolve this so you can say if your not happy with the outcome given, always best to be prepared.. x

Hi Mae, sadly not that great. If I stand with my shoulders pulled back they look great but when I stand normally it’s not right. My surgeon told me however that there’s nothing wrong so he won’t do anything 🙁

@emma2410 really? Even with the size difference??
How are you feeling about them now?!
I’m only 5wpo but not happy at all! Was supposed to seeing my surgeon next week for my 6 week check and was going to tell him then but that’s now been postponed so won’t be until another 3 weeks now! 🙁

Eugh the waiting is horrible. The surgeon said he thinks they look great as they are and more surgery won’t do anything. He said he would see me again at my 1 year anniversary but I’m going to call them and see if I can go in November (which be 11 months).
