    Hi everyone

I can’t believe how different implants look in different people! It makes me worried that I have no idea what I’m asking for.

I had my first consultation with Dr Mounir last week where he recommended 300 / 350 / 375 for my currently b cup boobs. I said that it was a little bigger than I expected and was looking for 300 max.

I’m currently thinking 300 round unders, moderate plus. Dr Mounir was surprised that I wanted this, especially with moderate plus over high profile.

I’m 5’5”, slim build (size 8) but have a bum (which is why Dr Mounir said he wanted to balance my figure).

Running in circles over this one, any help would be so so appreciated! Thanks everyone

Some more info: I’m hoping to go very natural but don’t want to regret it if I don’t see a difference in my boobs.

What help would you like Bea? What do you think you need to know or hear from others to help you reach a decision? I only ask as often (speaking for experience) there isn’t anything someone can say to make you feel certain, it’s more a decision you need to come to internally.
I dithered for so long over size and profile, and went against what the first few surgeons I met suggested. I’m happy with my outcome, but truth is I probably would have been happy if they were slightly different too!

I would say the most important thing is choosing an implant that fits your breast width so that they give good cleavage and cover your chest wall, but isn’t too big that you risk things like symmastasia. Although, saying that, you may have different priorities. I know for me I wasn’t worried about loads of outward projection, but wanted cleavage and fullness when in swimwear, so I went for a moderate plus for the width and a smaller cc. So think about your goals and discuss these with your surgeon.

    Hi Holly

Thanks for your response, I guess you’re right. My consultation was quite short and didn’t have time to fully discuss what I wanted them to look like. I have a second consultation before op.

I’m struggling between high profile and moderate plus – do you know what the main aesthetic differences are? Thanks for the help I appreciate it a lot!

The only advice I would give is trust the surgeon. If he thinks the higher end of his estimations I would definitely go with it. It’s his job after all. I was really shocked when my surgeon said 450cc I was thinking 375. But he was so right. They look natural and suit my frame. I’m 5ft7 and size 8/10. It really does depend what sort of look you want deciding profile high profile can still look very natural. Mind certainly do. Trust in your surgeon that’s the only advice I can give. X

I would agree in that it’s important you trust your surgeon, but before that it’s important you find a surgeon who understands what look you want. Most have their own idea of what boobs ‘should’ look like, that’s why you find some recommend bigger and others smaller.

The first one I saw suggested 375cc high profile implants and I in fact went for 275cc moderate plus (with a different surgeon). I am so happy with my results and dread to think what I would look like with the bigger ones they’d be massive on me!

High profile ones stick out to the front more, moderate plus are a bit flatter but wider. If you look up a size chart and compare measurements, 300cc HP has a 4.5cm projection and is 11cm wide, where as MP has 3.6cm projection and is 12cm wide. It’s not a huge difference when comparing the same cc size, but if you look for a MP implant with a 11cm width the cc is actually 225cm, so that’s where you see the biggest difference, if that makes sense? So to fill my 12cm width boob I could have had either 275-300ccMP or 375ccHP.

Bea, you can check out my Instagram which has loads of pictures, it’s Holly201217. Just send me a DM on there first.

Maybe you should get the opinion of another surgeon to compare? I went with Dr Traynor who I know prefers a more natural look and he spent quite a long one with me at consultation. I’ve attached a picture of mine with my before pik as well, I was stuck between 275 and 300 but went for 275 in the end as I wanted natural xx

Just on the projections as well, I thought I wanted moderate but dr traynor said he would only use them on older ladies is it suits what their boobs would look like naturally, he said high profile for me because of my age (I’m 26) and they match more what my boobs would be like naturally xx

Here’s a photo of 275cc moderate plus, I was also going to the natural look! I think it’s hard to tell the difference between some HP and MPP, and I don’t think I got old lady boobs with my lower profile ????.

Thanks girls, I really appreciate all the help. I booked my op last night and it was a bit nerve wracking!

By the sounds of it I probably won’t go too far wrong in the 275/300 region. HP or mod plus is a tricky one – both of your results are perfect! I would be so so pleased with either results.

Apparently my next consultation will be for about 15 mins so I’m going to bring in a few aspirational photos and get all my questions down on paper first.

Maybe best to check your breast width measurement and go for whichever closest fits that. If I had gone for 275 HP my cleavage gap would have been bigger and less side boob as they wouldn’t have been wide enough for me.

Congrats on booking though, exciting! Let me know if you want some post op bras. Selling a bundle of my macom and the 2 softer sports bra type things from Asda which were recommended to me. I was a B before, size 8 on top and they all fitted perfectly.

Hi Bea, I’m the same stats and body shape as you by the sounds of it. I have been offered 300cc as I wanted a large natural look & my surgeon is Dr.Fiumara. I will most likely end up with a large D cup or small DD I reckon but check her instagram page out as she specialises in full natural looking breast. Hope some of her images on instagram will help & show what cc you would prefer 🙂 x x

@capricedawkins dr Fiumara was my surgeon too! 🙂 she’s brilliant and will aim for a natural look. I had 275cc under the muscle moderate plus, was a very flat 32A, 5’7 and 58kg. I’m 4WPO and wearing a 32D high impact m&s sports bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your op! You’re in safe hands with dr Fiumara 🙂 xx

    Hi hun

I would go with what your surgeon says but equally would not under estimate a smaller implant. When seeing 2 surgeons they got me to try minimum 300cc but automatically thought this was too big for what I wanted. I always find a surgeon will rarely recommend to go under the 250cc size but when asking my surgeon he was happy for me to have 240cc and that’s what I went with. I’m only 2 weeks post op but bearing in mind both surgeons said I could go up to 360cc I could not imagine having them and would feel way too big! There’s not much between sizes but what I found helped me a lot was searching for similar stats and sizes and that gave me a good idea for the look I was after. Hope this helps xx
