 A SIMPLE & SAFE PROCEDURE

The Vaser procedure is performed by first making tiny incisions in the skin and injecting a saline solution to shrink blood vessels so bruising is less likely. The incisions are no more than two to three millimetres in dimension. The Vaser probe emitting ultrasound energy is then inserted into the fat layer. The micro-vibrations from the tip of the probe shake fat apart from other tissues on contact taking about 15 - 20 minutes per target area. The loosened fat cells may then easily be removed via aspiration, leaving connective tissues beneath the skin largely undisturbed. Up to 3 litres of fat can be removed and the reported overall result of the Vaser technique includes reduced pain, smooth results and improved skin retraction.

QUICK RECOVERY

You will probably need a few days off work to recover, however this does depend on the extent of surgery. You will notice that after the procedure the areas that were operated on will be swollen and are likely to be slightly bruised, this can last a few weeks. It is important that a suitable support or compression garment is worn for at least a month after the procedure as this helps to reduce the swelling. You won't be able to resume exercise within a couple of weeks.
