South Korean plastic surgery 'experiences boom'

People in South Korea are turning to plastic surgery in greater numbers, according to a new source in the country.
The Korea Times states that demand for procedures such as nose jobs and breast implants has increased over the Lunar New Year.
It adds that Seoul's W Plastic Surgery clinic revealed that people wanted operations so much that it could not close during the festive period.
A spokesperson comments that facial bone contouring and full body makeovers increased in popularity over the period.
"Females in their 20s and 30s usually (during holidays) have a double eyelid operation or nose job, both of which require a relatively short time to recover," said the source.
This comes as the Reno Gazette reports that a plastic surgeon in the Nevada region is planning to give back.
Dr Louis Bonaldi at the Center for Plastic Surgery is to offer free procedures as part of the New Beginnings programme.
