I’ve just had my strapping removed by dr Kazzazi today and had my matalan post op bra placed….I’m so uncomfortable!!! The seams are pressing on my incisions…

Can I wear a crop top just for bed with the intention of going straight for a new bra in the morning???x

I’ve heard that putting cotton pads over the incisions can help with the rubbing, maybe try that?

Hey @harly I had the m&s post op bra and it’s seams rubbed against my incisions and caused my wound to open so I had to go back and have a strip placed to close the skin. Def wear some kind of protection over your padding if you can I e now got a matalan sports bra and I’m just over 3 weeks not very comfortable but seamless hope this helps xx

My fave fave fave bra is Recova bra. I have a Macom which is good and supportive but not as comfy!

Would a high impact sports bra have the same effect ladies? Xx

    +1

The macom bra comes lower so doesn’t rub on incisions. I’ve got macom and m&s but prefer the macom. The sports bra is good but harder to find clothes that cover it and does sit more on your incisions than the macom. X

@Harly , I’m also a Kazzazi patient, 12DPO . I did not get on with that matalan bra at all, I immediately ordered a Royce ‘hannah’ bra and a Royce high impact bra from ebay , very comfortable and for bed I wear a matalan sports bra (its actually light support ..I know not advised but it feels more supportive than some of the other bras I have bought ) that I need help to take off as its over the head but its very comfortable. Its trial and error with the bra sitch but seriously you need to be comfortable as you have enough to deal with pain wise etc. I’m ordering bras left right and centre as I hate that grippy feeling around the under bust/ incisions. Not saying I am right / what Kazzazi approves but just some to consider possibly for yourself as I have had grippy feeling for nearly 2 weeks and it drives you insane! X

    I’m going insane.

I’ve ordered the Royce Hannah bra to try but in the meantime, I’ve got a bigger back matalan post op bra, a very high impact sports bra in a size bigger back than I usually wore but nothing is comfortable. Every single bra I have is rubbing on incisions! I’m getting so frustrated now as I just need comfort :'( xx
