I’m going to be 4 and a half weeks on xmas day from what i’ve read all over the net the main issue is with the scars etc… a wired bra as such worn for a few hours will not change the shape, it’s not going to really stop them dropping if they chose that exact moment it frankly just gives them more support. So I might just put a gauze dressing covered in medical tape over the scars to ensure they don’t get rubbed, and go for it. As long as the scars are properly protected.

I’m not advocating anyone else does this in fact I strongly recommend you DO NOT but hey that might be what I end up doing for Xmas.

emztee: Hiya, i’m doing a lot better thanks, was really struggling, but then felt a lot better over the last few days. So of course I went and over did it a bit Sunday had a 5 mile walk, and felt quite achy in the evening. Lesson Learnt and when I go back to running i’m going to need some serious bra support. Top of the range shock absorber bra or similar here I come… More money!!

    xxcatxx: Your probably right… i’m sure i’ll be sensible 🙂 …. maybe… 🙂

I missed my 6 week check up cos if the weather and I only got a text telling me to contact them , I’ve not had any contact with my pc since I booked my op, don’t think they are really bothered to be honest but everything seems fine, I’ve no worries so ill just go after Xmas

Different surgeons say different things! Id stick to what the surgeon says! My surgeon shew me some pics of girls wearin underwired too early an they got an indent on the outsides of the implant were the wire dug in an coz ther body hadnt sealed in the implants proply yet!! Always best to be careful!
I waited 12 weeks like my surgeon said! They do some good non underwired bras in debenhams. Its only gonna b for a little while longer! Not worth ruining ur boobs for the rest of ur life by being impatient… Xx

Hey, I had BA 2 years ago, i was like you, couldnt wait to wear nice bras!! pre op, most 32a’s look like training bras :/ I brought all nice bras and made a tiny slit to pull the wire out, then put the wires back in when I was fully recovered!!

Make sure you stitch them up after though! Wires dont tend to stay in the bras in the washing machine :/ i can still hear one of the wires rattling in the washer every now and then :/ xx
