Hey! I’m 3wpo today and just wanted to ask a few things…

    1. I’m now laying on my back although I have a few pillows propping me up a little. Is this OK now?

    2. When did people start wearing crop tops rather than the sports bra during the day?

    3. Has anyone been using moisturiser or bio oil on their boobs? What’s been the best for dry skin? Do you use it directly on the incisions?

    4. When can I have a bath? I’m showering normally but I love a bath especially with 3 kids and a hard day at work…it’s my haven of an evening!!

sorry for all the questions but I just wanted to get it in one post!

Any help would be great xxx

Hi lovely, I can only help with a couple of your questions sorry (wanting answers to the others myself!) I am just over 3 weeks post op.
I was told sleeping on your back is fine after a couple of days, so being 3 weeks post op I would definately say you are ok. I think being upright helps to alleviate swelling, which should hopefully have gone by now. I just wouldn’t sleep on your side until you feel comfortable.
My skin is also really dry so I have been using moisturiser/bio oil all over my boobs when i get out of the shower and leaving my bra off for 30 mins or so just to let it work. I was avoiding the scars until last night when I noticed they were really dry so I rubbed a little bio oil on. My nurse said it was ok to use it from 3 weeks but i know they all advise different things. My friend is a surgeon and also recommends aloe Vera for scars.
    Hope this helps a little.
    Xx

how Zara! that’s amazing thank you. I have bio oil but didn’t know if I could use it directly on the incisions yet?! I read that you could sleep lying on your back when it feels comfortable. Just wasn’t sure. I was told aloe Vera was good. I’m so dry it’s unreal. I’ve been having a break from my breast band every now and then. I have a week left but sometimes I can’t wear it with certain clothes at work….look like I have a square chest. Can’t meet clients like that or they start asking questions…thank you sweets that’s so helpful to know x
