Hi girls ….so im 6weeks monday and since 3 weeks ive been slowly building up my exercise again. Im pretty much back to my normal self, apart from any jumping in my classes. My boobs move to much in the sports bra ive got so i wont run too fast or do any jacks in my classes. They feel fine no pain or discomfort but i dont want them jiggling around.

Dont have my check with surgeon til im nearly 8 weeks and ive not been to get measured yet as i wanted to get the all clear from him and be able to pick any bra not just the horrible non wire ones. But im starting to think i need to get measured now cos i need a better sports bra.

When did people start running again and when did you get measured and wear normal bras with wires?

    Thanks xxxxx

Hi Gemma I’ve been training the same as you although do more weight training, intervals etc. rather than classes. I’ve not run yet just used cross trainer and stepoer and I am 7 weeks post op. must admit I went to debenhams yesterday and tried a few sports bras on until I found one that felt right. I am going to get measured next Friday but wanted to achieve a natural D and so purchased a shock absorber in 34d and fits perfect x

Hiya Emma think im going to have to go there this week….was planning on going next week and combine it with the little girls shoes but im desp to get running and this sports bra is not good enough.
Im thinking of getting the shock absorber run or the panache bras. What do you think of your shock absorber? Im not sure what size i am, im wearing a 34d in my non underwire but it doesnt fit right.

Hi Gemma & Emma, really useful seeing when you started exercising again as I’m 2 weeks PO and missing the gym! Feeling squidgy lol. I might go back at 4 wks PO and start of xtraining and cycling. Do either of you do body pump? Not sure how long will have to leave it :/ xxx

Hi Gemma. I love the shock absorber bras but then again I used to wear them when I didn’t have boobs! I don’t seem to get any bounce when I wear it but it feels very tight but then my friend said its supposed to be!

Hi Ellie. I went back to the gym after 2 weeks… I know it’s naughty but I literally walked on running machine and did lower body on cross trainer. I purely went as it made me feel better and I missed it. I didn’t even break a sweat the first week back! I don’t do body pump. If I’m being honest I’ve only really been doing normal stuff in gym since week 6 as i didn’t want to damage my boobs! The best thing is to listen to your body, if you feel ok carry on xx

Hiya Ellie i totally understand i felt the same, had to get back doing something. Sorry dont do bodypump. I was the same as Emma walking uphill on the treadmill but not too fast so they never bounced at all. I felt fine doing this and was ok doing squats at 3 weeks with no weights. I gradually started building it up the next couple of weeks and now im lifting weights squats up to 40kg and going to a few classes on a night. Just go easy and see how it feels, if something feels wrong then dont do it.

Think im going to go with a couple of diff shock absorbers…god this bra business is going to bankrupt me lol!
