Am I meant to have a 2 week check up?

Hey girls,

So I had my op on the 11th and 1 Week appointment on the 18th.
Booked in for my 6 week check on the 20th of May but was wondering if I’m meant to have a 2 week check as I haven’t been given one and have seen a lot of you on here have had 2 week check ups xxx

Usually you do. The 1 week check to change dressings etc and 2 weeks they check your incisions and give you the all clear for showers and remove the dressings completely. My check ups and what my nurse does is down to what my surgeon reccomends… I’d give them a call Hun xxx

Ahh @eeviefox makes sense! So you didn’t have a 2 week check up either? I’ve been told I can shower and have clear plasters on but I’m too scared to take them off!

@mya450cc do you not have a 2 week check up either? Xx

@caseymurrell I only have my 1 week check up booked for Tuesday and haven’t had anything else booked yet so I’m not sure. I’m assuming not unless they say they want me to come back again for whatever reason after they check everything on my 1 week app. Xxx

I never had a 2 weeks check up. I think as long as everything is okay at the first appointment you don’t need to go back until 6 weeks x

@amyhodgsonx yeah I’ve just spoken to them apparently I don’t need one!xxx
