    Hey girls,
I’ve read a few posts about some girls being refused surgery due to anti depressants ? I had an uplift last year was just on anxiety tablets and that was fine but my BA is booked for a months time – not had pre op yet and now I’m really worried they will refuse me 🙁 – if I get a letter from the doctor will it be fine? Please please help! X X X X X

Don’t panic! You should be fine if you’ve had surgery on them before. Just make sure you get a letter from your doctor to state your fit to have the op, if you have not been on the medication since your last uplift make sure you tell them this too . But don’t worry yourself it will get done xx

Are you still on the tablets? I agree with Natasha, I would suggest get a doctor’s note, just to be sure. Can’t hurt, can it? 🙂 Might save you any delays or an extra trip to MYA. Sure you’ve got no reason to worry.
    Good luck! x

I wouldn’t panic if it’s just for anxiety, I had the same worry – I’m not with mya though- but I spoke with the nurse on the phone as my op is in a few weeks and she said that if my meds were prescribed for anxiety only then it is fine and I dont even need a doctors note, I think it’s just with depression they have to make sure you’re in the right mind set to make such a huge decision! Hope this helps X
