So booked in for 29th Jan next Tuesday and just wondering if you girls could give me any last minute tips and secrets for healing and recovery and things that will make the op and recovery a little easier. I have read about the V Pillows which im going to invest in this weekend and also tips on were to get agood sports bra from? Plus also I have read something about arnica tablets or something like that, what are these and what do they do. When do the get taken before or after the op? Also what do i need to take to the hospital im on a day case, a dressing gown, slippers anything like that needed?
Any tips will help and be much appreciated!

    So excited 🙂 !!!!!

Oh god I so wish there were magic pillows for the first few days. Get a v pillow, try to keep positive and make sure for the first few days you chill. Plenty of fluids too. I was so scared when I went in, but keep positive honestly you’ll be fine hun. The first few days are so draining and so emotionally challenging, but as soon try to keep your mind busy. Your back will hurt after and you won’t have a gull nights sleep if you’re like me but don’t worry it’s only for a few days. Try to keep intouch with someone else who’s had it done. My gosh if it wasn’t for the girls who were in on the same day as me I’d have gone mad. It’s nice when you have someone in the same situation as you because no-one who I know understands how hard it is. Good luck though. It’s not that bad when you get used to it. If you need to chat just message me xxx

    Exactly what amber said ^^
Just remember to relax & ride it out- pain is temporary, pride is forever 🙂
It’s uncomfortable for the first 3 days especially so make sure you have your v pillow & comforts like a dressing gown, socks on hand & extremely slouchy accessible clothes & exactlyyy what amber said 😉
You’ll be fine hun, it all goes so fast, best wishes xxx

My surgeon reccomended arnica, he said there was no medical evidence thst it worked, but he likes all his girls to take it. I took it 3days before and 3days after and had vitually no bruising and very little swelling so it worked for me, you csn get it from holland and barrett and just follow instructions.xx

I also read on here girls talking bout arnica. Wasn’t sure if u should take it before or after op. @Teresa is it safe to take before the op? Knw its a natural plant remedy thing. But just wana be safe with it. Also going in on same day as Haylea. Glad u asked this question hun coz was about to do the same then saw ur post 🙂 they say lost of rest the first few days also help. Not sure if we get V pillows in south africa yet….we light years behind with these kinda things. Not sure what to wear straight after op….no way I can wear a zip up hoody coz its mid summer here and just too damn hot. So many things to think of. Haylea my surgeon did say although I’m 34 I must get a 36 C coz of swelling afterwards. So one size up. Think u must then get 34 , u 32 ryt?

I too am in on Tuesday 29th with mr Traynor 6 days to go!!! Have you read the boobie bible?? I found it extremely helpful & have followed it to the letter! I’ve got arnica tablets to take before & after & got arnica cream for my scars afterwards £6 each aswel as ordering loads of bio oil from eBay as its sooooo cheap £20 for two 200ml bottles. I’ve got my v pillow from eBay also £10! I’ve got a horseshoe travel neck pillow from primark £3. I’ve got laxative to combat bloating & constipation caused by anaesthetic & got some ziotrim to help keep my weight down while comfort eating & being unable to exercise for 6 weeks. I’ve also got some sleeping tablets to take after I have finished my antibiotics to help with the sleeping problem. I ordered two macom sports bras expensive but I’m told are well worth the money & mya highly recommend them (also if you type mybreast in the discount code you get 15% off) if got myself lots of zip up/ button up comfy track suits tops n fleecy pjs for lounging around during recovery (chose to avoid a onside as you have to take your arms out to take it off). Lots of wipes for bed bathing. a full body wax days before op so you dont have to worry about being a scary hairy mary! At home I am going to make sure every thing is within reach DVDs food magazines for full on lazy relaxation & get some straws as I am told it hurts to even lift your glass!!! Book in at your local hair dressers a few days after op for a good hair wash & a blow dry to help you look & feel great ( my friend is a mobile beaut therapist she is going to tan me & do my eyelashes so I don’t have to worry about putting my make up on & do my nails after my op to make me feel & look better ha!
Sorry to go on & on & on just thought these tips were great when I was reading them I really hope they help you. Good look happy new boobs 🙂 xxx

Morning yes feel free to add me 🙂 not sure if its being organised or being terrified!! Yes I am at first trust but I am an over nighter. I’m having a mastopexy (uplift) with implant. I am 26 and was over 3 stone heavier and had 36FF chest but when I lost all the weight I’ve been left with a really undesirable bust 🙁 I want the body I worked hard for! I’m currently a 34D but only 34B breast tissue the rest is loose skin so hopefully the skin is going to be removed and I am having 325cc overs high profile which should give me a nice firm DD/E fingers crossed!! I’m terrified because I’d never heard of a mastopexy before and mr Traynor’s brutal honesty made me question if this is really what I want there is a lot more scarring involved, it’s a more complicated op, it is a longer recovery and worst of all more things that can go wrong!! But mr Traynor said if I follow his instructions to the letter I will recover quickly, minimise the scarring and the risks of things going wrong. All of the things in my earlier post were either suggestions of his or from the boobie bible which I then clarified with him. Work is the only thing left that i am worrying about I have my own hairdressing business so need to be back to work as soon as possible but don’t want to rush back and end up doing some damage.
I’m sure we will all be fine and have fantastic new boobies to show for it!! ( . )( . ) xxx
