Anyone having surgery on 26th Jan?

I am booked in to have my surgery on 26th Jan so scared now because I have never been put to sleep before!! What do you need to take with you any ideas?

I’m in on the 26th too ? I don’t have a clue what to take, obviously your sports bras, I’m going to take some sweets and magazines to keep me busy. I’ve never been put to sleep either so I’m abit nervous x

Ohh really what time is yours I haven’t got a time yet I am meeting dr traynor on 18th who you having yours done by? Yeah I don’t know what size to buy tho cos we will be swelled won’t we. I am so scared being put to sleep but so excited to wake up with new boobs xx

I didn’t have my surgery with Mya but you generally need to take the same things so hopefully this helps!

> PJ’s (most importantly a top that buttons up down the front) as it will be hard to put anything else on
> Dressing gown & slippers (to walk down to theatre)
> Books/ipad/kindle etc – just to keep you occupied whilst you’re waiting
> Toiletries if you’re staying overnight
> Non metal hair band to tie up your hair if it’s long

Really don’t worry about being put to sleep. It’s literally a tiny little needle in your hand that feels like a scratch and then they tell you as they administer the anaesthetic. It’s like a couple of seconds of falling asleep and the you’ll wake up in recovery!

Oh thanks for your help Georgie I will make sure I pack lots of goodies to keep me occupied that’s the most thing am scared of being put to sleep but feel abit better now you have Said that so excited for new boobs I have seen some amazing pictures did u have traynor Georgie? Xx

I haven’t been given an admission time yet, I’m having dr Traynor also ? I’m meeting him on Thursday to decide on size etc – I don’t have a clue! I know the being put to sleep bit will be fine it’s just the thought of it x

No problem! It honestly seems so much scarier than it is. I’ve had it a few times and I was still a wreck before surgery, it’s so easy to build it up in your head but it’s honestly nothing. Over in a second and then you’re waking up with boobs! haha!

I didn’t – I had my surgery with a private practice surgeon (not with Mya) I’ve seen lots of girls on here who have had Traynor though and their results have been excellent so Im sure you’ll be in good hands!

I know I really don’t have a clue how the implants work I am a 32b now I am hoping to go to a D don’t know what the difference is over the muscle or under the muscle. Yeah I am sure it will be fine x

I’m currently a 32B and wanting DD but i want them to look natural and not stuck on but I’m not sure if he can do that so ill see what he suggests! Under and over the muscle is determined by what look you want to achieve and the amount of breast tissue you already have I think. I’m so excited but nervous at the same time. My partner is at work the day of my op so my friend is going to be bringing me, do you know if they can come in your room whilst you wait/are in surgery? Xx

Yeah I want a natural look and want them close together for a nice cleavage and want a nice side boob. I have quite abit of tissue am just guna see what the surgeon suggests. Yeah your allowed one person with u Hun and they wait in the room while you have surgery are u staying over? Xx

Thanks Caroline! Yeah overs are definitely good if you have a bit of tissue already so you might be recommended those! Easier recovery with overs which is nice. I’m sure your surgeon will advise you of the best way to go. Take a photo of the kind of look you like to the consultation. I must have given my surgeon about 15- 20 photos of what I did and didn’t like – he probably thought I was a mad woman!! haha! xxx

I’m in on the 26th aswell!! I’m a 32b and have 300cc unders, I asked for a natural look and he said I should become about a D, so excited!

Yeah my surgeon is dr Andrea and I’m having 300cc high profile implants under the muscle xx

I’m not sure what I will be better with, overs or unders. I think unders are better for what I want as I would like to breastfeed any other children that I will have.

The taking pictures is a great idea, there’s lots of ladies on here that have got really nice results with both overs and unders! Georgie yours are lovely! I just don’t want to get boob greed and want them bigger and bigger haha xx

I think unders are better when you want a more natural look and especially if you don’t have very full breasts to start with they wont give you overs if you don’t have enough skin if that make sense xx

Thanks for the reply girls I am so undecided what to have unders or overs cos some of the unders I have seen look more fake than the overs this is so hard to choose!! Have use both seen your surgeon? I can’t wait to meet Him so I know what size implants I am having! Xx

Thanks Codie! 🙂 As far as I am aware you don’t need to worry about not being able to breastfeed with overs. I have two children but said to my surgeon that if I ever do have any more it was very important that I would be able to breastfeed again and he said that there wouldn’t be a problem at all. I think the only time that there is really an issue with bf’ing after a BA is when there is interference with the nipple (eg the incision is there) Two surgeons have actually told me this but obviously just check with yours too – I’m not sure if there are any varying techniques that may change things so wouldn’t want to misinform you!

I am in on the 26th with dr traynor!!! Any ideas when we find out the time of admission? I’m still confused on size I have opted for a 410 and 375 due to different size boobs but worrying this may be too big now.. Also does anyone know what tests they do before surgery I.e pregnancy tests etc.. Thanks xx

Hi girls , I’m having my op on 26th with mr traynor too! I was suppose to be having it done on the13th Jan but I went to Preston waited all day and the anethetist wouldn’t put me to sleep due to my medical history ! A lot of messing around buy finally booked back in , they do a pregnancy test on the day my admission time was 12 and I saw a nurse a doctor and then the anethetist didn’t get chance to see mr traynor but I only saw the anethetist at half 3 so was waiting in my room all that time , your not aloud to take food in by the way , they give you tea and toast after your op , it’s £5 for wifi of you wanna use that , take pillows the pillow I had was flat as a pancake and take warm clothes I was freezing in the room , now I’ve had a practice run I know how to prepare for this one haha good luck xxxx

Also make sure you read your instructions before the op your not aloud to eat anything 6 hours before our admission time and can kinky have sips of water up until 2 hours before admission time and then that’s it you can’t have anything else xxx

I’m only a day case so do I still need to take a might gown and slippers? I don’t even have a night gown at the mo lol xx

Hi ellie my PC said to take dressing gown slippers and button open pjs i am only a day case too but she ssid you will be in most of the day xxx

Yeah I’m a week today so I’ll be there with you on the day 🙂 yeah take whatever you want , you don’t need a night gown cause they give you one and you have to wear that just take some warm socks to go over your surgery ones and a dressing gown so your warm , and I’m having 500cc ! Mega excited now , you can’t wear any makeup or wear any jewellery make sure your hairs tied up without a metal bobble , no acrylics or eyelashes or hair extensions are aloud either , you’ll be there quite a while so take magazines or a iPad keep you company xxx

1pm wish i got an earlier one so I can get in and straight home but never mind, I’m so excited but abit scared about being put to sleep as I’ve never even had a blood test or anything before haha not looking forward to not being able to eat for so long either!! xx

Oh thats a good time gives u time to get sorted and there. Did you get a email through with it? I am so scared to be put to sleep aswell i have never been put asleep. Am sure we will be fine. I am dreading not been able to eat aswell i love my food lol xx

Yeah you just get an email from your pc, last time spoke to her she said the nurse rings you the night before aswell to go over stuff with you xx
