    Hi,
I’m thinking of booking an appointment with Mya for a consultation for a procedure. I’ve booked a consultation with them before and it went really wrong and I was left waiting for 3 hours then walked out. I decided to go with another company.

I’m now looking at having something else done and I’m thinking of booking a consultation with Mya, has anyone else on here booked an appointment and has their appointment been on time or has everyone else had to wait ages too?

I have a very busy life and two children I have to sort childcare out for so I really don’t want to be left waiting.

My consultation was fab and wasn’t left waiting at all! Infact I think they saw me 5/10 mins early. I arrived half hour early due to travelling and trying to avoid traffic! This was the Bristol clinic by the way and my PC and the surgeon were so fab I definitely recommend MYA! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, it just felt right!! X

Okay that’s great, I’d be going the the Birmingham clinic. I might ring them again and ask for an actual appointment with the surgeon, cuss when I went last time it seemed like a sit and wait appointment with crowds of girls waiting. Xx

I went to the Birmingham clinic on a Saturday for my first talk with my PC and they were running behind and it took about 30 minutes to be seen, then when I saw my surgeon, they’d allowed more appointments with him to be booked and I was waiting about 30 minutes again. This was recently, my surgery is in September and I met my surgeon about 8 weeks ago.
There are new PC’s there now as the one I saw originally has left to pursue a new career, but the new PC’s are lovely too 🙂 Hope this helps.

Hi, originally I was with the Birmingham clinic for all my consultations and pre-op then had my actual op in London. I had to wait longer to see my surgeon almost always but was never longer than 45 mins. Mention the child care issue to your PC or receptionist and see if there is anything they can do regarding your waiting xx

I’ve me under Birmingham too and have 3 appointments since June 3rd and never waited longer than 5 mins for PC, surgeon or pre op nurse … I can’t fault the service ive received there so far , and my PC has kept in touch constantly since my first appointment , I actually text her on a “friendly ” basis now xx

I’m Manchester clinic and love them, longest they kept me waiting was 30 minutes but as soon as I could through the door they told me they were running late and gave me several different options but I decided to stay and wait.

I’ve had no probs with the Birmingham clinic.. they even got me in with a next day appointment when I called up at gone midnight as I was worried about something. I’ My first appointment with the nurse… that was a last minute one as I was in Birmingham so called them up and they could see me that day… Then my surgeon meeting, then another surgeon meeting. Then my pre op nurse meeting. Had phone calls to see if I had questions before my op and also whilst I was in hospital after op.. then had an appointment with the nurse again 6 days after my op then I had to go and see her again 3 days later as my stitches hadn’t healed on my 6 day check.. I’ve had further appointments all with no problems.

Sometimes things do go wrong.. We are all human and if someone goes to the clinic and she has a problem with a stitch or an infection then it can set everyone’s appointments back and you have to wait longer. These things can not be helped…
I know on my first surgeons meeting I had so many questions, more than I thought I did. they just kept coming and the surgeon (Mr Singh) was fabulous and answered them all and I didn’t feel pressured because of the time… I know when I left the room and walked past the waiting room there were girls still in there waiting that I recognized from when I was waiting… SORRYYYYYYYYYYY … So you see that time, it was because of me..a potential patent taking the time up.. Nothing to do with MYA really.
And how great that the surgeon took his time with me and didn’t rush me…

I also went to two other clinics and well one of them, It was like I was on a conveyor belt. I did actually complain about it…. I was in and out so fast I didn’t have time for questions and was made to feel stupid. I then sat in the waiting room for the nurse to call me in to discuss my surgeons appointment and if I wanted to use them and another girl came back into the waiting room still putting her top on!!!!! She said to her waiting boyfriend..OMG I didn’t like that, it was so rushed….

But everyone got seen on time!

I had a breast uplift and a tummy tuck with muscle tightening on the 19th Feb. My clinic is Birmingham and I went to Highgate hospital in London for my surgery. My surgeon was Mr Singh who is brilliant and funny.. I had a problem with a mammogram showing a lump and my date had to be put back. Then there was a problem because i had a titanium chip put in my breast so they could mark the spot where the lump was (not done by MYA, it was done at my local hospital) … But in the end it was all sorted out and I didn’t have cancer as feared and my surgeon could work around the chip 🙂 Even with all that stress and difficulty everyone at MYA were great.
I have been back since for my 3 month check and it was Mr Singh himself that said i needed more surgery on my tummy tuck scar line.. But he wanted to wait as it can take a year to settle down… I didn’t have to nag him or tell him I wasn’t happy.. it was all great.

    I can highly recommend MYA
