    Hello girls!
I barely ever come on here anymore but I know how useful it was when I was pre-op!
if you would like to follow my journey and progress I update and post and comment daily on my BA instagram..
    ba_mya_april2015

So my PC is Louisa at Leeds and she is amazingg!
I had a bit of a tough day on op day and it’s the only part of my journey so far that I feel a little disappointed with.
Mr Mounir is my surgeon and I love him and I love my boobs, I was just sad he didn’t come see me after my op on op day!

Anyway this is all PERSONAL OPINION not fact and others may think differently…
advice: research, trust your surgeon, don’t compare boobs, same size implant looks VERY different from girl to girl.

Prep: V PILLOW! << the very best investment!! I also got a boulder – it did stop me slipping down in the night but I didnt use it for very long, hot water bottles and ice (i used frozen chips inside a sandwich bag and then inside a sock!) front fasten PJ’s (a must), front faten clothes to go out in and travel (hoodys or shirts), dounut pillow for the car journey – i also used this fr the first 4 nights when I was sleeping bolt upright.

I took arnica for 2 weeks postop and still take multivitamins.

    *****BRAS!!!****
the hardest most stressful part pre-op!
(aside from what size to choose)

Macom: over-rated, uncomfy, un-supportive. I found the macom good because I knew it would fit… hoever day 2 post op I was in so much pain and the minute i switched from my Macom compression to an asda light support sports bra, over half my pain disappeared. I personally wasnt ready for the compression following the trauma my body had just gone through. I put my macom back on post op NIGHT 4 when the pain had finally started to ease. this time i felt ready for the compression and preferred it. however by day 7 it was irrating and uncomfy and when I switched back to asda I was much happier! I’ve only worn it again now for 2 or 3 random days but I always feel less comfy in it!

On that note: **** I AM SELLING MY MACOM, WHITE, 32 BACK, £10? HARDLY WORN***** as i know some of you may still want to wear one and it is good for if you dont know what size to buy, but in case you dont like it like me, 2nd hand is far more cost effective!

Asda: 2 for £7 black and white light support sports bras. SO COMFY!!! and a complete comfort when you are super swollen and sore and in pain days 2/3/4 Post op! I also wear these most days for work and under things and I’m almost 5 weeks post op! super comfy for bed time! I wore 30 or 32 back B cup pre op so I was concerned about the smallest back being 34. however post op early days you are super swollen and even now I wouldnt notice. I made rice sizers and took them with me pre-op to buy the hopefully correct size. I bought 34D and it did fit post op and have since bought nother 2 34D’s. I love these and even when I get the go ahead to wear normal bras I wil;l probably keep wearing these for work etc and at bedtime! SO SO COMFY.

M&S: zip front sports bras £22.50 > I have 2!! so supportive! as my macom made me uncomfy and have shooting pains randomly… and as my asda bras are light support I wanted to find a good ‘high impact’ basically super supportive bra to wear when I am more active and for stronger supprt when I wasnt in bed between weeks 2-4. the M&S is REALLY difficult to fasten but once on I felt so supportive, my girls werent going anywhere! I bought 2 and i love them!!! I have started wearing asda during the day for work now but only in weeks 4-5 from weeks 2-3 when ever i wasnt in bed i wore these for supprt and they are comfy too! now i just grab whatever is clean but when I teach PE and when I return to the gym these will forever be used!

^^^ thats my take on bras!

Also.. I know I didnt like the Macom bra.. but one thing I did like (and hate) was the Macom strap!!
It’s for girls with unders or partials! it; helps the muscle to relax and aids with the drop and fluff!
It is extra pain/ discomfort so be warned! but I feel like it really helped speed up the process to turn my boobs from rocks to getting softer and squidgier! I would recommend it to anyone!
I began wearing at 2 weeks-4 weeks, now I wear it when I remember but I always wear it at night!
Everyone comments how much ‘squidgier’ mine were compared to theirs (girls with the same op date) It basically just seemed to help speed up my healing process slightly! it can itch so on a night i wear it over my pj’s! during the day ive been wearing shirts buttoned up so ive been wearing it underneath! I think it’s worked wonders and the pain/ discomfort stops after about a week but be prepared, I satrted wearing it as the op pain had just disappeared and at first I was thinking ” why am I causing myself more discomfort” but I am truely glad I did! — some girls wear this from post op day 1 but simarlar to the macom bra.. I just wasnt ready! LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

Any how… I will also be selling my MACOM strap for £10 if anybody is interested?

    Macom bra: £10
    Macom strap: £10
    both plus P+p

Recovery: you are suprised how quickly you recover! days 2-4 are hell! and you think it will never end but 5+6 I felt fine just excessively tired as I was up and about.. by day 7 you are almsot normal though I continued to nap until about day 15 if I had been awake.
I retuned to work at day 12 and was fine, my job is active! I just crashed out for a 5 hour nap the minute I got in from work!
by day 18 I was fine andn awake without naps too!

anyhow at 4.5 weeks post op my incisions were looking healed and neat but at 5 weeks I had what looked like a hole in my incision that looked a bit yellow/white with goo. I saw my nurse that day adn she has put a new dressing on it and I’m back to pre-op rules. it doent hurt at al just itches and hopefully it will be back healed soon! apparently it is a stitch trying to get out!

    any questions please ask!
all my journey is on insta!
I will try and upload a few here too!

message me if you are interested in buying the macom bra and/or strap 🙂

    hope this helps someone! xx
