Arnica tablets

Those of you who took Arnica tablets, when did you start taking them (how long before op) and how many a day etc?

My nurse said they are fine to take but just told me to follow the instructions they suggest but I can’t find any info on when to start taking them!

I’ve seen a few people say twice a day for a week before and a week after x

I asked my pc about taking arnica tablets and she told me not to take anything but I’m 6dpo and hardly any bruising anyway x best check with your pc before taking xx

I started taking them on the day (after my op). As they tell you to cut meds on the run up (depending on the surgeon and nurse) I wanted a ‘clean start’. I don’t know if they helped as I don’t normally bruise and thankfully didn’t this time either.

I took 3 a day 2 days before and 3 a day for 5 days after. I’ve had no bruising at all!! X

Just found the pack. I took two every two hours for the first six doses and then four times a day for five days.

The nurse at my Pre op consultation said she noticed a huge difference with women that had taken arnica before their op. She recommended I take arnica 30s two weeks before and two weeks after. Just one tablet a day.

Ahh thank you all it’s weird how the advice varies! My op is a week on Wednesday so I might start taking them a week before xx
