Aww Emily, I didn’t sleep at all the night I had mine either and I’d expected to sleep loads in the first 48 hrs with all the drugs, but got about 4 hrs. If you haven’t already got one, get a V pillow. Might be worth speaking to your nurse if the painkillers aren’t helping enough as I think there are different ones or different combinations which might suit you better. Hope it eases soon and that you get manage to get some sleep xx

Sleeping is a nightmare the first week I was taking diazepam (Valium) which normally knocks me out for 8 hours solid and was still waking up every hour uncomfortable and in pain 🙁
I bought diclofenac which is a bit like ibuprofen (an antiinflammatory) but stronger u can take it alongside the codydramol (dihydrocodeine + paracetamol) cos they are different types of painkiller. And u can take two of each but I find it’s better to stagger painkillers so you always have some relief. Just don’t take ibuprofen alongside diclofenac as they are in the same group.
(I’m a dentist so I know a fair bit about pain relief) xxx

Hey!! Ive been the same, feels horrible to move and im doing a rubbish job of sleeping upright, even with a v pillow.. Ive ended up.flat on my back twice and it doesn’t half pull on them to get up .just taken some more codydramol. Dont think I’ll be getting about much today!! The nurse told me I could get up and go sports bra shopping.. think she was being optimistic lol hope you’re okay and happy with your results so far lovely 🙂 xxxx

Yh its not the best!! I think I’d be having a virtually perfect recovery if it wasn’t for the cold!! Xx
