Hi all 🙂 im just at the start boob job journey (something I’ve wanted for years now) and I’m finally in a good financial position to go ahead.

Only thing is, I’m petrified of having an op. I know it’s extreme but I’m worried I won’t wake up and I’ll be the unlucky one who has serious complications. So, you can imagine my joy when I found out MYA does implants under local anesthetic. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this? What’s the pain like under LA? Would you recommend it?

    Thanks girls.

It was fabulous!!! So easy and better .. My opinion .
Best part is not to have to stay over .
I didn’t use MYA but very similar I’m sure.
    Good luck

Thanks Jenny! The only thing I’d be worried about are the initial injections. Apparently the needles are very large and thick :/

The needles aren’t large and thick. You can go home the same day even if you have general anaesthetic. I had mine under GA and it was fine, I imagine Local is quite weird being awake!! xx

make small prayers..sth like “Jesus Christ here I go, be with me ” maybe that will ease that anxiety .. good luck! mine will be next week.

I’m absolutely terrified of needles hun and I was absolutely fine. Just turn away and take deep breaths.. don’t even look at the needle. It was like a 1 second nip and it was in. They keep talking to you to take your mind off of it anyway. I was shocked at how little pain I was in. You will be absolutely fine I promise you, if I can do it anyone can! Haha x

I had a BA, uplift and areola reduction and was awake for two hours and it was lovely … You’re pretty stoned and don’t feel anything .. I just don’t like being completely out but either way is fine ..
The catheters aren’t huge just big enough for the drugs to go through smoothly
    You’ll be just fine 🌹

Are you not asleep when you have the LA? They told me at Nottingham that you are still asleep? X

You feel sleepy but not asleep.. You’re not completely out of it like as if you don’t remember anything … But it goes by so fast … I think it’s called twilight sedation?

@nicolajane Your apparently not asleep with LA, only with GA. I nearly cried when the anaesthetist told me before I went into surgery. But Mr Kazzazi reassured me that I will not remember anything and not feel a thing. The sedation that is given with LA makes you sleepy. I was completely out of it lol. I remember the nurse saying ‘so what you been doing doing?’ I was like ‘well it’s fathers day so I…’ and that was it 😂 I woke up and he was putting last bit of strapping on me. The anaesthetist is sat with you all the way and controls it. So he will put more stuff in if he thinks you are starting to come round (although you won’t). I honestly can’t remember a thing! Don’t worry 😃 xx

    Hi all
I’ve got my first consultation this Saturday. I have chosen that I want my BA with Dr Kazzazi as he performs it under local “with sedation”. I am petrified of being sedated so that I am asleep- has anybody still been talking during their procedure and just sleepy rather than fully sedated? I am wondering if you can request the level of sedation. Emily X
