Bandages- any post op girls have problems?

Hi Guys,
Im 2 days post op and my bandages are KILLING me- they are so tight ive started to peal them away at the edges to give myself a bit more breathing room as i feel like im suffocating! Anyone else feel like this? Did you remove your bandages yourself?

Hey Kerry Ann, i had my op yesterday and my strapping is super tight! Feeling very restricted! Hoping this week goes quick because i cant wait to get it off!!! I called the nurse to see if i can take it off but she said no have to keep it on for 5-7 days, booo! Xx

I’m day 2 post op girls and my incisions are killing but may be due to bandages. Hope the recovery speeds up! Xx

I’ve literally had to cut away at the sides of mine so I can breathe! I genuinely think they were done too tight.
Incisions killing aswell- almost through all my cocodamol aswell *cries*

I haven’t had mine yet but my nurse said I can remove the strapping after 4 days if you are comfortable doing it yourself. Just best to double check though x

Actually got blisters underneath as mine was sooo tight! How long have you got to have your strapping on for? X

When is the strapping usually taken off girls? X x x

The nurse takes them off on your one week check up. 🙂 x

Ive just pulled mine off on one side to get some air- ive got blisters all over my left breast- i knew they were too tight as i just couldnt breathe! Have cut them all right down now and will remove and give a wipe over every day- my post op removal isnt until tuesday but i cant cope with them on anymore!x

My strapping was very unconformable I could hardly breath and the bandage was so super tight on the left side that it hurt my incisions really bad and every time I breath it would feel like a ton of brick in my chest. I had my strapping off on Thursday and I can honestly say it was the best thing. I feel so free and can easily move my arms. I can get dressed and do pretty much everything and I have no pain on either of my boobs apart from the minor twinges and stingies.

Keep on top of your pain killers and take it easy and try not to over work yourself. 7 days will fly by and it will be worth it which is what I kept saying to myself when I had strapping xx

@kerryann1988 mine hopefully come off Tuesday too. Causing me so much discomfort plus sports bra is pressing down on them. Are you keeping your sports bra on 24/7 until you weeks checkup?
How are your incisions feeling babe? Xxx

Hi El if you have strapping on you don’t need sports bra on as that would make it way too tight and cause discomfort
