Hi ladies. Can anyone tell me how long after your op you are allowed to have a proper soak in the bath! I’m 6WPO, just been showering everyday since but would love a good soak!
Also when can we start applying scar fading creams/oils and can anyone recommend anything.
    Thanks. Xx

Hey ur best to contact ur surgeon as everyone is told different things depending on surgeon plus I see from ur profile ur not with Mya.

I was told to have shallow baths only in order to prevent my incisions getting wet. I was allowed to shower after four weeks. So this is obviously the total opposite to what you have been instructed to do post op hence why it’s best to contact ur nurse, surgeon or check ur post op paperwork. Fx

Thanks Fran. Yeah each surgeon advises different, I could shower after day 1, was told I could take shallow baths also but never asked when I could have a soak, will ring them tomorrow. Will check out the cream thanks, when were you told you could start using it? X

Hey hun my surgeon said I could use the gel from 6wks. I reckon I should be fine to bathe by now cos ur incisions should be closed and near enough secure. If u have been able to shower and get them wet I guess unless u were able to cover them I’m sure u should be fine. If u had issues with ur incisions they would have picked up on it by now and warned u. I got the gel from a site called living better with I thibk it’s called it’s for cancer patients and has a load of stuff for post and pre boob surgery it cost me about 24 quid for only 15ml but u only need a little bit hope that all helps fx
