Random thought just came to me, I stopped my pill in the last week as my op is just under a month away and currently I’m on my period but I feel like I’m going to be on it for my op or around that time, if i turn up on the day and I’m on it will there be any thing different like will it all be fine?
sounds stupid but you know haha!

I’ve asked this question too and some girls said they just wore a tampon or cotton knickers with a pad x

It’s fine just wear pad or tampon and my nurse said if it happened then to let them know incase you leaked and there was blood and they wouldn’t know where from. (Although doesn’t take a genius to figure it out it that did happen lol but just to make them aware) x

I have just had that same conversation tonight at my post opp appointment. She said its fine but its probably better to visit your gp amd get thr pill to stop your period if you think your going to be on. This is because after the opp your sore ect and its hard doing things so been on is one less thing to have to worry about xxx

I came on heavy on the day of my OP and I wasn’t allowed to use a tampon they gave me this horrible massive pad that had no sticky in it to go in my very attractive surgical pants. I lost al my dignity that night as the nurse had to change it and take me to the toilette as I didn’t come round well. Not nice but just one of those things I was out of it anyway lol xx

The nurse came through and asked me routine questions just before my opp, one being are you on a period ad when was your last period .. I went to the bathroom after this and had came on ???? I was already gowned up and in my paper knickers! They gave me pad and said it was fine (had just started so it was tiny amount) said no to tampon because toxic shock? But it was still all good and well just typical. Xxx

I came on 4 days after my op, I think with them telling you to stop the pill 4 weeks before it’s highly likely to happen. Thank god I didn’t come on earlier as I was very immobile for the first few days x

I don’t think it’s a problem if u are on, I was asked when my last period was etc before hand but I was told on the day that if I needed a sanitary towel I could ask the nurses for one to put in the paper panties they give u

I was on REALLY heavy the day of my op – it literally started on the train on the way to the clinic 🙁
It was no problem, the nurses ask you if you need any towels when they check you in and give you the horrible hospital ones to wear with your paper pants.
Lol it took my mind off the op as I was freaking out about being on more!!
