It could still be the anaesthetic as that can make you sick especially when you eat. Or perhaps if you are taking cocodamol, that could make you feel sick. I’d give your nurse a call if it doesn’t stop tomorrow as you may just need some time for it to leave your body.
Hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Sabrina. SORry to hear your not very well. Sickness is a very common side effect from anaesthesia. Try and keep hydrated with just water and eat little and often when you feel you can. Sometimes cocodamol can make it worse as well. But hopefully it should wear off soon x

Hey Sabrina, I had my op nearly 3 weeks ago and I was the same. Soon as I woke up I was feeling sick from the anaesthetic, and then for a few days after. I stopped taking co-codamol and the sickness pretty much vanished so that could be the cause? I swapped to ibuprofen and paracetamol instead for the pain. Maybe try foods that are more plain such as cereal or crackers etc until the sickness goes away? Hope you’re feeling better soon!xx

    Hi Sabrina,

I’m 6DPO and only stopped being sick two days ago. I couldn’t keep anything down. Stayed in overnight on op day and was put on A drip as lost too much fluid from sickness. Nurse said for me to come off the medication at day 4 as it wasn’t doing me very good. Feel much better now. Have lost a lot of unexpected weight and my Macom doesn’t even fit anymore :(. I took a lot of rehydration sachets they really helped!

Also just take small bites of things often, make sure your fluids are up!

Like Stacey said, swap pain meds for paracetamol if you’re in pain –they do help!

Hope you get better soon xx

Could be a side effect of the pain med’s so maybe avoid them. You could also have an unrelated sick bug. Try and sip fluids and go to bed and rest. Hope you feel better soon.

well so far ive woke up feeling normal today, no sickness and have been able to take some pain killers thank god and keep them down. (no codine)) I actually feel ok compared to yesterday just painful boobs which feel tingly, sore and odd pains in them at different movements but judging by comments on here that is the normal.

Good to hear your feeling better (sickness wise) sounds like it must of been the anaesthetic and maybe Codine too. Happy healing 🙂 xx
