Had ba on Friday, woke up Sunday morning with itchy back and when my mum looked there was puss on my back. She pulled back strapping and my skin was blisters and weaping so she cut strapping away from effected areas. Woke up this morning and felt same. When she looked it was squirting like water stuff. She’s had to cut it right back under my armpit to stop it damaging my skin. Had my post op brought forward as my skin is having a reaction to strapping. Anyone else had this?

Yes!! I had the same but didn’t realise I had the same itchy sensation but ignored it and when I had my strapping removed today the right boob was covered in blood she said I had a blister that I’d kept rubbing so is now an open sore bit bigger than a 50p coin. She’s put a dressing on it and reviewing on Friday…feels even more sore now she’s cleaned it up 🙁
Hope yours is ok when’s ur appt?? xx

I had the same, had my op on 20th dec and had to go to see the nurse on the 23rd and have my strapping removed as my blisters were terrible and so painful all on my back. Had to have them cleaned and dressed and they have removed the dressings today on my 10day post op. it still looks a mess but is healing. Just hoping it doesn’t scar!!
They got me in the same day when I phoned to have it taken off, when are u booked in? Hope u don’t have to suffer and wait too long
    :-(. Xx

I was supposed to have strapping off on Friday 3rd but they moved my appointment to Thursday2nd not much difference.. Hoping I don’t wake up with any more as I have nothing covering sores just trying not to lean on my back which is hard. Could get in touch with nurse at Leeds. Had to speak to 1 at Newcastle. Hope I can manage until then xx

That must be sooo hard as only position to sleep is propped up on your back!! Knowing how painful they can be I feel so sorry
    for you 🙁
They put big plaster like dressings on me to keep them dry and covered until they healed x

Aww no Michelle 🙁 If MYA nurse can’t see you before then, could you go to a walk in centre and at least get some dressings on if you think they’re open and needed?

Well my mum had to go back to hospital today to collect thing I’d left there and asked them if there was anything they could do and the nurse said if I could get through to nurse that she would have a word with mr kazzazi about him having a look at strapping. Just want Thursday to hurry now. Bad enough having to sit up all time my arse is killing and sores just burning everytime I sit back. I know it will be worth it but it’s so uncomfortable 🙁 Xx
