Bloating..

Im 4days post op and still so bloated! How long does it last for? I also keep burping ? xx

I was like that for about a week to the point where my partner said I looked like I was expecting!! After a week or so stopped x

I feel like I am expecting ? its awful, making my boobs look smaller cus my belly looks big! How long is it before you actually feel normal again? I am sick of sleeping on my back. And I also have a burning pain in the left sjde :/ xx

i didn’t get bloating at all :/ not sure how that happened!x

burning in the boob?yes! on my left side. i can’t get up without having to hold my boob in my hand, it keeps burning n getting shooting pains in the nipple and my nipple is numb xx

Hey! I have the burning and my nipples and centre of my breasts are numb – I asked the nurse this today and she said its promising as that’s a sign that the nerves are going back to normal. I’m super bloated as well – I’ve stopped the cocodomol today as I think that’s what it is and using paracetamol instead which is already starting to make improvements! X

yeah i think the co codomal does most of us in. its good to hear that your making improvements already 🙂 does yours have the burning and shooting pains when you go to sit up? but when sitting still theres no pain or anything? makes me not want to move!x

Heyy I never took any pain killers and I was badly bloated for 3 weeks I actually looked pregnant! Apparently some people’s bodys go into shock and retain water…also the swelling drops from your chest into your tummy xx

Yes!!! That is it I have to keep holding my boob when I move but when I just sit here there is no pain at all. I used my hair dryer yesterday with my right arm but no way I could even use it with my left cus of this shooting/burning pain. My mum said something about nerves. Thanks girls always helps talking to others xxx

That’s what the nurse said to me about the nerves adjusting.. That’s one of the things that’s been worrying me. I’m like you the right arm is really good to go lol there’s no pain at all and my arm can really move freely. I only had about an hour of shooting pains in that but the left won’t stop doing something or another xx

Yea it was worrying me but helped knowing I’m not the only one! Yea if my left was as good as my right I would be fine but I literally cant move my left far at all.. Just hope it all stops soon. I am back to work next week :/ how many days post op are you?xxx

That’s what I’ve been saying lol if it was like my right it would be a breeze. My right healed in 2 days literally. My incision is itching so I’m guessing that’s a good sign of healing? I’m 5 days post op how about you? I hope we are better for next week! I got school runs and a 3&5 year old all to myself haha xx

Yea my right healed really quick. I’m 4 days post op so we are close 🙂 yes same with me I’m starting to itch now. Are you strapped up or just tape over the stitches? Bloody Hell yea I hope you are better next week bless you! Keep me posted how your getting on xxx

Oh so yeh we are really close. Il ask the nurse loads of questions tonorrrow n update you on what they say about the feelings in the left boob lol. Today was my best day so I hope your be feeling the same tomorrow 🙂 I have the dreaded breast band on 🙁 then just the plasters what about you? I saw your photo in another thread n they look amazing!xx

Bless you that would be a help thanks! Yea I hope so I’m so fed up of sitting about and not doing a lot 🙁 I wanna be able to sleep properly too being on the back all the time sucks! I was sat upstairs in bed everyday until now having afternoon naps and just feeling like poo but today I’ve been downstairs the whole day helping out with washing n tidying and just little bits so there is hope Hun honestly. Have you been told that you’ve got to wear the breast band in total for w month as well?xx

Aw I so hope I can move round more, I just still feel pretty poo hoping tomorrow will be more of a turn around. No I have just been told about a support bra? I dunno if I’m thinking a breast band is what I have got mine is like tape bandage thing xx

Well this is somthing to look forward to ha ha! Literally learning new stuff everyday but worth it im sure! Hope you feel better asap I get IBS at times and feel like a balloon so know how uncomfortable that is. x

Yea it’s not very nice but all worth it 🙂 you never stop learning about it to be fair I love reading story’s from people years down the line xx

How you feeling today Hun? I had my check up and everything seems to be good! I told her about the right one and she just said oh that’s fine no redness no rash no swelling all good lol took my plasters off and the strapping but it’s the Macom breast band that I’m talking about lol got weeks left yet wearing that xx

Still pretty bad today to be fair. My left side it really feels like something is rubbing on my skin every time I move and sit back is that what it felt like for you? Also does it feel better now you have had the strapping off? Oh yea I no got one to take with me Monday to put on but I haven’t been wearing one now xx

I was actually feeling so sick from been so bloated! My partner also said I could pass for been pregnant it was horrible it lasted just under a week for me! Xxx

I was feeling sick but I’m ok now with that and to be fair I can cope with the bloating now its Just this pain on the left side! My mum has taken some of the tape off to have a look and there’s loads of dry blood under my plaster thats rubbing and digging in my skin! Its so painful. I spoke to the nurse and they are telling me to wait until Monday when I go back but I have just over an hour car ride to Nottingham really don’t no how I’m gunna cope travelling over bumps that far with this pain 🙁 safe to say it’s been a pretty bad recovery xx

How you feeling Chloe? I also had some blood on the plaster on my left hurting side and called the nurse but mine was brown and they said that’s fine. As long as it’s not bright red n more n more blood appears over the next few days. I was so worried honestly but after having my plasters removed yesterday they look fine.. How’s the pain now? I still have it in my left and my nurse thought I would be left handed because of that but I’m actually right. Xx

To be fair feel like I’m getting worse Ellie.. I had a bad night last night kept waking up very stiff in pain just keep taking paracetamol. I had to get my mum to peal the tape back this morning cus the pain was awful really feels like something is pulling on my skin but where the blood was that wasn’t the pain its where my vain in quite swollen :/ I’m still laid up in bed and be be fair I’m getting really pissed off now! The nurse told me just to leave it till Monday… I just don’t know what to do anymore 🙁 6days post op I thought I would be getting better not worse xxx

Aww, it does get so hard just being laid up not being able to do anything. If your worried I would call the nurse back up and just be honest and say your like to be seen before Monday (if that’s how you feel) doesnt help being in pain and worrying at the same time xx

I did that yesterday and all she said is they will call you in for them to ‘re strap me. It’s uncomfortable just sat here let alone driving in a car for an hour there an hour back and have to do the same in 2 days time 🙁 it’s just really getting me down now!xx

Oh no 🙁 sounds as if you may be best just holding out. If only we could lie down it would be better but sitting up all day in bed isn’t exactly comfy.. Is it swollen your left side? Or hot to touch?xx

Yea thats it I just wanna be able to lay down.. No if anything my right looks more swollen than my left :/ and no not hot to touch xx

My right is a bit bigger than my left now as well how weird! Not long now and your be seen 🙂 every morning I think yes for another day that’s gone by lol xx

Yea must admit I woke up this morning and thought only today to go. I have managed to have a shallow bath and my mum helped me get changed today, out some make up on and I feel a bit better already.. my blobs still feel so hard though? But don’t known if that is just the tape maybe.. but safe to say, I cant wait till tomorrow!!!xx

I am 2 days post opp n i get burning sensation in my right boob on the side which is soo annoying…i am so bloated to the point i had to change my sport bra from 34 to 36 as was digging into me….i only get shooting pain from where my drain come out as nurse struggled to take it out this side and seemed as if she pulled it too hard…my incisions are so itching on both however i have this tape around me so i cant see what is actually going on under. X

I am exactly the same.. I have tape it is awful. I was worried because obviously I don’t know where the stitches actually are so didn’t no if that was what was hurting.. but I go back tomorrow to get the tape off and let you no how I get one. Ellie let me no and it definitely put my mind at ease. I am also starting to feel a bit better now moving a bit more today xx

Thanks girls.. I’m all done now and feel so good now I have that tape off!! And everything is healing well, the pain I have been having is my bruising coming out all normal though, no swelling that they are worried about so I feel Mich more settled and happy now 🙂 and they look amazing!! Will put a picture on my profile tonight ? xx

Ah so happy for you. I think you felt a bit like me before the 1 week check but once you go and they say everything is fine it’s just so much stress gone. Can’t wait to see pictures!xx

Oh God yea! Although it put my mind at rest you saying it’s completely put to rest knowing I’m all ok and normal ? I just have one dropping more than the other so my shoulders aren’t level hahaha.. I will put a message on here so you get a notification and let you no when I do put pic on sweet xxx

Thats great to hear u all ok…i think i have bruising there too but like i said i cant see much atm…my boyfreiend has knocked me hard today too (didnt mean to) so i am back with pain to square one ?…i cant wait for my check up now…want to no all is healing well…5 more days to go ? xx

Lol bless. Well everything’s all good so you can fully enjoy them now 🙂 when I’m outside walking I feel so tense and a bit hunched! But not when I’m indoors so much but I dunno if it’s because it’s so cold out or not xx

First day back at work today and it made me very achy though.. How are you doing?xx

Loool that’s me holding the left one. I was in the car holding it the other day and this old man was next to us at the lights looking as if to say what you doing lol I’m so use to holding it I don’t even realise haha. Yeah inside the house is all good just outside I seem to struggle abit but I think if it was summer it wouldn’t be half as bad. Started to get such a bad back ache now tho! How you doing? I am so the same as you I have to hold it in a car too! Just can’t help but hold it but my right is fine!! Just dont understand it lol. Yea I have a bad back now too and my shoulders.. well I’m a hairdresser so I am finding it so hard lifting my left arm up it’s really quite painful again now xxx

I am glad other people have this i had my op yeesterday and obvs did a preg test which obvs came back clear but thank god i did after looking im the mirror today i could be about 6 month preg ????

I had my check up today! 3 days early as was in so much pain…remember when i mentioned my right one was burning alot n slight movement to it was causing pain…well i got phone call from the clinic yesterday n they got me in for check up today instead of waiting till sat 13th…nurse took the strapping off n what i had was blister that burst undetneath all that tape…i am 5 day post opp n my tape is off, lil dressing on the what u call it remainings of blister n i am pain free…feeling amazing! What a difference this has made…i will say trust ur gut feelings…i new somet was not quiet right and i was right…couldnt og been happier..?? xx
