Had surgery on sunday, its now wednesday & I don’t know HOW I’m going to make “2 weeks” off work, let alone 4 weeks out of the gym!!

How did everyone else cope with so much non activity??

Obviously I’m not about to go for a run or jump on the crosstrainer..
Am I allowed to sit on my exercise bike? just to get the blood flowing?

I spent the whole week in bed on the sofa and back to bed again lol just resting and online really. Had little naps. Ate and that was about it! My first day out was to my 1 week post op check. Then the days after that I was going shops and doing little trips out so wasn’t into a second week doing nothing. The days drag and feels like you’ve done nothing in forever but when you look back it feels like it’s flown by xx

I know how you feel Christina! I had my surgery on Sunday, had to go for a little walk yesterday, otherwise I would be mad.. But I couldn’t be out just for a few mins,I had to came home, my boobs started to be very stiff and painful. Then, I realised even if I am very bored rest is essential now, so I stay in bed. My boom is painful cause of the position to sleep, I am bored and miss the gym so much, but I hope these times gonna help to my recovery and soon all gonna be fine. I can’t wait to be my real me again..

Ha I’m worried about the exact same but in different ways. I have 2 little ones so hoping I can completly rest but then the opposite that I know ifI have a week off the gym and eat junk I put on weight like nothing else. I have started to write myself a letter to look at when I get down and cant snap out of it (know it will happen at some point in 6wks) it starts “This is only temporary and how often do you get to chill?” ha ha im daft I know but everything in my life has always been mind over matter. Get a box set on the go, Greys anatomy and the The Good wife….you wont want to go out XX

It drove me mad being at home in bed not being able to do anything… I had my op Sun 31st Jan and by the Friday/Sat I went crazy!! I actually went mad from being stuck in so I got a friend to come pick me up and go out for a bit and it did me the world of good!! I went out again on the Sunday for a bit then had my 1 week post op on the Monday then by Wednesday I was driving myself about again and yea was pretty good. Now I am 22days post op and I’m pretty much back to normal xx

I think I’ve lost my mind: Ive done a bit a vacuuming, done the ironing AND I watched a Danielle Steel movie.. I did sit on the exercise bike but it made my but hurt for 2 days after!! ?? Serves me right.. I’ve been doing some (about 500) glute bridges & hip flexor stretches to keep alittle flow to that area!!

Oooo I would be very careful with what your doing hun, go steady seem to be doing quiet a bit considering your so early on.. it’s great if you feel you can do these things but don’t push yourself as you want them to heal a good shape and things xx
