Okay- so post op… how flexible can you be in wearing bras other than the Macom and at what point?
Getting my stitches out end of this week, I’m just crazy impatient & curious, please let me know what sort of alternatives you guys are wearing or if not!!

    Thanks Xx

Hey Laura, hope your recovery is going well! I never bothered with the macom as I thought they were expensive, I had a high impact sports bra from matalan for the first week but found it was cutting into my collar bones as I was wearing it 24/7 so ordered two different ones from amazon, just ordered the band size and they stretch to accommodate cup sizes, and have three different clasps so room for swelling, so same as the macom but cheaper! Nurse is happy with the amazon ones and they’re really comfy, I’ll link you if you’re interested?xx

    Thanks Stacey,
I have 2x Macom and theyre fine, just finding it impossible to wear clothes that cover them as they’re quite wide/high etc.
Are calvin klein style type things suitable from any point?
    If you wouldn’t mind-thank you!!!

    Xx

    Here you go 🙂 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01MXZ8PXF/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’ve not had any problems covering these with tops so far apart from vest tops as the straps are a little wide at the top, but I suppose as long as your bra is giving you really good support and keeping your boobs in place any bra should be fine 🙂 xx

Hi girls. I have 2 macoms but I do struggle with weari. Clothes because they are so high.
I also got a high impact zip front sports bra from m&s which is super comfortable.
And then I got a pack of 2 sports bras from Asda and matalan which everyone has mentioned about but i don’t feel they give enough support.
I did come across a medium impact reversible sports bra from Tesco by chance when I was buying lunch and it’s so comfortable and enough support. It’s one that goes over the head though, so I won’t recommend it straight away.
After my strapping came off I used my macoms and high impact bra because I had more weight to my boobs which I had to get used to. Now I prefer the medium supports during the day anda high impact at night. I just change it round daily.
Some people have mentioned about CK crop tops but I can’t imagine they give support as I’ve popped in to have a look. That being said some surgeons recommend them because they don’t like macoms. And I’ve read some surgeons say not to wear anything! All this different advice!

I’d probably speak to your nurse or go by what your surgeon recommended as every one will practice differently x

    Thanks girls- you’ve been brilliant!
I think it’s difficult when different people have different preferences- getting my stitches out in 3 days so I’ll check with the nurse but at least I can start looking in the right direction now!
    Xx
