Breast Feeding After Breast Augmentation

I am currently in the Researching Stage with MYA. I have wanted Breast Augmentation since I start puberty, over 9 years ago, and I still haven’t grown in cup size. I’ve been desperate for the procedure and am passionate about having it done one day.

I am currently 22, I have no children, am not planning to have them within the next two years, but desperately want children in the future. My only concern with BA is that I would not be able to breastfeed property after the procedure.

I have been informed by MYA and through researching BA in general, that breastfeeding is not an issue after BA but I wanted to hear from some of you who have had BA and gone on to breastfeed.

Is there a possibility that I would not be able to breastfeed after BA? Do any of you currently breastfeed after BA?

I have always wanted BA but I have always wanted to breastfeed my children, should I have any.

Can anyone answer my question and put my concern to rest?

Hi Louisa,
My friend had her ba after her first child and went on to feed her second child with no problems whatsoever. From what I have heard most women have no problems, but of course there will be the odd person it causes problems for when trying to breastfeed.
I can’t offer you advice based on my experience as i had my op 4 weeks ago after having already breastfed my 3 children. One thing I would say is that breastfeeding really does change the appearance of your breasts and so if you have your ba before children and breastfeeding you may be needing to have a re-op sooner than if you wait and have it done afterwards! Xxx
