Bruising and numbness

Hi girls, so I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow with one boob and 1 week post op tomorrow with my other? I am just wondering when bruising wears off? I am still strapped up and it’s causing me havoc so I have just tried to loosen it a little and in between my boobs they’re both so bruised still and not to forget I am bruised all down the sides on to my belly.. Even dowm near my lady parts (sorry to mention) Why is this?? Also I know it’s normal but my left boob where I had my complications its still so numb, when does the feeling come back?

I’m only 1 week but both my boobs are numb under neath and one of my nipples ! I think it can take a few months to come backxxx

It’s horrible isn’t it, it makes me feel sick that I can’t feel it but I know my hand is there?? the feeling is coming back in my right breast but my left one is still like it!! All this waiting around for our boobs is annoying ?xxx

I’m nearly 6 weeks PO and I still have bruising from my op . One breast is still numb , the right breast is fine but my nipple is very sensitive and feels heavy . It can take 6-12 months or even longer for the feelings to the breasts to return ..

Gosh 6 weeks still @beverley? That’s a long time, I knew it was to happen but didn’t realise I would bruise as much as I have especially down onto my belly. Something we all have to deal with I guess. Think I am getting feeling coming back on my nipples as we speak, keep getting very sharp quick little pains now and again x

There was a girl on here who posted her bruises around the time I had my op and she had bruising like you all down her stomach. A few people suggested to her maybe it was how they picked her up and moved her while she was asleep that caused it. I was totally numb but have all feeling back in my boob and nipples now and it came back around 5-6 weeks post op xx

My mum said that @Ellie that it could be to do with how they picked me up. I am coming out in bruising as the week goes on, I get my strapping off tomorrow and I can’t wait as I can already feel and see some parts on me bruising up as they strapped me so tight! I knew it was normal just wondered how quickly the numbness comes back, everyone is different I see though 🙂 xx

I didn’t get strapped but heard how tight girls have said it can be. Bet your excited for tomorrow! Ask the nurse about the bruising, do you usually bruise easily? Xx

Aw you was lucky @Ellie they had to strap me up tighter this time as I had a complication so I have already seen what my boobs look like but I am super excited to see them again 🙂 I didn’t think I did bruise easily tbh but I have just been under a major surgery so it’s to be expected I was just shocked how far down my body I had bruised! Xx
