Calling all post op over mummys :-)

hi, im havin my ba on 21st april (overs), gettin a bit nervous about not being able to look after my 21month old son, my hubby will b home to help me for the first week or so wil i b able to manage on my own after that?, how long til u could lift,cuddle ur children properly?, how did u all manage? xx is it goin to b as bad as im makin it out to be x

I had unders 8 days ago n been looking after my 3 yr old n 11 month old by myself since Monday it has been hard but bot as bad as I expected can’t cuddle or owt yet its still tender xx

i would also like to know this as im only going to have help for a few days

hey huni this is somethin which i really worried about too! im now nearly 6wks post op and im a single mum to 3 children age 2, 6 and 12. i had unders which are more painful and take longer to recover. i had my mum with me for the first 2 days then was on my own and managed fine thanks to my wonderful 12yr old bless him i couldnt lift up my 2yr old for 2wks but we still managed plenty of cuddles on my knee you will be fine luv, its great that you will have your hubbie with you for the first wk, and with you having overs by wk 2 you should be able to manage just fine so dont worry yourself too much about it, good luck xxx

Hey, my daughters 5 but I am worried because I’m having my op done the weekend before school half term ends so I will have to take her to school on the mon and drive because her school is not within walking distance ( my fault should of chosen the school across the road) lol damn. Nobody else will be able to take her for me either.Fingers crossed I will be ok x

you will need to be very careful driving so soon hun, i had unders and drove for the first time at 7 days post op and found it difficult and painful!! also im sure iv read on here your not insured to drive until 7 days after a ga so id check it out if i were you hun xxx

I had my op on thursday and have a 4yr old and 15 months. Thankfully my husband has been at home with me but its still been really hard. Cant pick her up or cuddle her properly. He is back in work monday so will have to cope by myself although my mum and friends wil be helping xx

This is something that worries me too! I have a four yr old and a 7 month old. I have my partner with me for the first week but am on my own after that. I’m really worried about lifting my baby week 2. I am having an implant and uplift and don’t want to ruin my scars!!

Hey hun im 1 week 3 days po my boyfriend had the first week off work to look after our son who is 2 years old and my mum has had the rest of the time off i havent lifted him until today and felt fine but im not going to lift him all the time as he is very independant and i dont want to strain my self just incase. xx
