Heya, I paid MYA £2500 after my first consultation, where they said it was a straight forward breast enlargement. I went for my second consultation and the surgeon said I needed an uplift… my patient coordinater amanda said I should get a second opinion. So today I had my third consultation and the surgeon said I needed a reduction, uplift THEN I could have implants. He advised me I should wait until I’m older and decided I don’t want anymore children, as the reduction could cause implications if I wanted more children. So I decided to take his advice and not go through with the procedure. Especially as I would need 3 surgeries to get what I wanted. After waiting an hour and half for my patient coordinater amanda, to take about getting my refund, she was too busy to talk to me and said she would phone me tonight… she didn’t. So now I’m worried that MYA won’t give me my £2500 back. Will I get it back? Or will they keep it? Help I’m worried!!

I think in the T&C’s I read that if you pay your deposit before having your consultation then you have a 7 day cooling off period following meeting the surgeon in order to get a full refund however I don’t know how this would work if you’ve had multiple consultations if it’s from the first or the last. I’d just keep ringing tomorrow until they speak to you as they can’t keep your money if the surgeon has advised not having it done!

Amanda my patient coordinater said that if this surgeon said they couldn’t do it, then I would get a full refund. The surgeon said he would do it, but only if I had a reduction AND uplift? Completely different from the original straight forward implants MYA originally told me I needed! I’m so stressed out, if they do not give my money back I will go absolutely nuts!

Is this Amanda at the Birmingham clinic? If so, you’ll probably have to chase her up yourself as she isn’t the best at getting in touch or replying to texts/messages! Hope you get it sorted asap xx

Yes it is her and this is exactly what I am worried about! Xx I just want my money back, after being told one thing then another, I’m so fed up with the whole situation! I would of never paid ANY money to MYA if they had told me I needed an uplift, reduction and then implants! Xxxx

You are ENTITLED to your deposit no matter what!!! You paid that much money therefore she should of given you information on terms & conditions, sounds like she took your money to meet her sales target then fobbed you off, keep a record of all the phone calls you made etc & demand your money back! I would go there to be honest and ask for the manager or senior because ringing them will be a constant thing, she advised you to see a second and third surgeon therefore the t&c should relate to that, I would go there and demand! Ain’t no one trying to take that much money of my and not get back to me what a cheek

She’ll be there today as she told me she’d see me when I go in for my post op check today. Get on that phone until she gives you an answer! A lot of girls have said as soon as they posted something negative on here their PC/whoever was quick to get in touch xx

Also, not sure if you know, but Amanda is the clinic manager so you’d have to deal with her if you asked to speak to management anyway! Xx
