No, nothing – you wash the day before or morning of surgery – no make up, no creams, deoderants, perfumes, no nail polish or acrylics. You can’t wear fake tan for (I think) 6 weeks prior to the op, no earrings or jewellery. Tie your hair up…

I’m going to take sunglasses with me to wear to hide my face a bit, and some SPF cream for after the op to nourish my skin. And lipbalm. I hate not having lipbalm!

I had my op last tues, i wore mascara and only took the nails off my fore fingers, when i got to highgate the nurse said i may want to remove my mascara as ill look like a panda after the op as they tape your eyes closed but i left it on as i bloody forgot my make up bag and left it in plymouth ! When i come around after the op the clip they use on your finger to moniter your heart rate was on my thumb ! So i politely told the nurse i removed my nails for that clip….please use my finger ha ha ha xxx

Girls why do you want to have make up and such on? You’re going to be put to sleep and cut open in a sexy hospital gown then sent home?!

I agree with Chelsea, although I wasn’t too tired or in much pain I just wasn’t arsed about putting make up on after my op especially as the hours after seem to fly by in a blur and I’d gone most of the day without makeup anyway so seemed pointless to put any on xx
