I had my pre op yesterday & my op is on 14th Feb.. In my leaflet on the Fitzroy it says visitors can wait in waiting rooms. My mum will be chaperoning me on the day, will she be able to wait in my room and chill out/watch tv whilst I have my op or will she have to wait in the waiting room? I was under the impression she could be watching tv comfortably to take her mind off it. Xx

I had my op at highgate and my mum sat in my room and watched TV while I was under! Not sure if it’s diffrtent at different clinics but I doubt it! xx

Haha Alex that made me laugh. Thanks that hells, maybe it means visitors that aren’t chaperones. So excited now, feels all the more real now I’ve had the pre op & got my post op booked in also xx

Hiya lovely I had mine at Fitzroy and travelled up from Wales so we were hoping this was the case and they were so laid back BOTH my mum and my dad waited in my room (I had a room to myself) whilst I was in theatre! 🙂 Dr Singh even popped in whilst I was in the recovery room to let them know it all went very well – so you should be fine! xxxx

    i chaperoned my friend!
i was allowed in her room while she was there but when she went down to theatre i had to go to a waiting room so they could prep her room for her return. the waiting room had a tv, magazines and drinks in there though! and i didnt feel like i was there too long and the minute she was back they let me know! xxx
