Can you request a later admission time?

Just looking at train time from Leeds to Preston…even on the earliest train I won’t be able to get to the hospital for at the earliest 9am? I can’t really stay in a hotel the night before my op as I’m staying in one after, plus my boyfriend will be working the night before my op as well so will need to wait for him to get home so he can come with me! Can you request a later admission time? Or is it a case of just get what you’re given? :-/ x

Ooh I don’t know. I always think if you don’t ask you don’t get. Why not phone the hospital. There number is on google.
When are you having your op? Mines the 14th and I phoned today and they said they are doing my admission time later today and to phone tomorrow first thing as I’m travelling far and need to know as soon as!

Yes of course you can hun. Let you PC know and she should pass on that you want a later time. I asked for the earliest possible and got it. xxx

I asked for a later time..I then hit given very late n was last lol but I ft it.just let them no asap..my admission time was 12:30. Then the day before they changed it to 15:30 n I had so at 9pm I got to the hosp at 12 tho as I got bored lookin round London n buying lol and they were fine about it they let me go up to my room n watchtelly xxx

Yea you can request a different time but you will have to then get whatever they offer you x

Thanks girlies! I have my pre op tomorrow so will ask my PC then 🙂 @Scarlett mines on the 21st at Preston! I’m not so fussed about it having to be later to be honest, it’s the only way I’ll be able to have someone to come with me so I guess I don’t have a choice anyway! xxx
