    Hi,

I had my BA just under 3 weeks ago and pain had gone and my arms were mobile again but today I’ve had really bad pains in my left breast ranging from a dull ache to a strong aching pain when I move it is visably swollen compared to my right breast. I am so worried ? a re op is my worst nightmare! Any advice??

3 wks is still really early, and swelling can take ages to go. When I had my first ba 9 years ago it took months for the aches and pains to stop. Your nerves are finding new routes to take and are settling down. Everything sounds and looks com l etwly normal to me xx

Try not to worry too much … I’ve read that people are still getting pains and random twinges months down the line!
It’s sends you in to mental panic mode when you think the worst .
Just check it out with your consultant as soon as you can I’m sure he will put your mind at ease . Good luck lovely xxx

Nerves repair and re-sensitise at different speeds, and nerve repairing and re-sensitising can affect swelling patterns. Over all you need to wait 3 months before starting to be critical of any shape or sizes. Don’t worry. You are with a good company with good aftercare program.

Try not to worry hunny, don’t forget that you have been through two separate operations in theory so you will find that one will heal quicker than the other and they will both do different things. You will have a lot of funny pains and aches as the nerves repair and your going to be more conscious of it. You look absolutely fine but if your so worried that it’s keeping you up at night, give your nurse a call for advice. I know lots of ladies use ice packs to try and help with swelling xxxxx
