Hi girls, I’m 6 months post op and have had trouble with my left boob since day one. It was the most painful in recovery and never really looked right. Ive told myself to give it time but it’s got to the point now where it’s completely dropped in shape and looks awful. Ive got appointment on Wednesday to see the surgeon and I’m terrified it’s capsular contracture… Has anyone experienced this and can you tell from my picture if it is? What can be done for it? Xxx

Oh no! My surgeon said I might be more likely to get capsular contracture as I have a latex allergy 🙁 Do they cover the cost? I think I saw it said you can have re-op for free within 5 years on their aftercare page?

I’ve got to go back to see the surgeon and arrange a re-op – I’m so scared as I had partials initially and the pain was horrific – I had 375cc high profile partials with mr Singh The thought of doing it again is so scary… You just don’t think these things will happen to you, but unfortunately it does. I didn’t really ask many questions when it was diagnosed, I was in shock and very tearful, so I will know more at my next appointment. So nervous and scared ???xx

Hi Hun. Can you help. I think that I may have capsular contracture. Can you please let me know how your bust felt

It’s awful, your boobs feel solid, like two rocks and it’s painful underneath too, like pins and needles… Basically thicker tissue than usual forms around your implants, squeezing them tightly. This causes the misshape and pain – I would see the nurse as soon as possible Hun xx

Sorry to hear you are Having to have a Re-op Hannah!!:( i think i am experiencing the same thing, i have a hard painful right breast and keep getting shooting pains in my breast and a dead arm… I am 18 months post op. My Mya nurse said it was capsular contracture so I had a meeting with my surgeon in Leeds Mya clinic and he completely fobbed me off…told me to take evening primrose oil and he would be in touch.. It’s been 3 months and my boob is no better. Do you mind me asking who you spoke to to get your issue resolved? As the Leeds clinic have totally failed me and I’m really upset 🙁 my nurse realised what it was but my surgeon rushed me in and out of his office in about 3 minutes 🙁 really hoping someone else with the same problem can help! Thankyou xxx
