Hi everyone! Had my op yesterday and the compression socks are really annoying.. How long did you all wear them for? Will it be OK to remove them if I remain active? Thanks x

They say for a week. I kept mine on for about 5 days as I wasn’t that active to be honest. I think I only lasted long cause I’m a nurse and know the risks lol xx

    Hey!

I didn’t even know we had to wear them until I was out of surgery! I wore them for 6 days and then took them off before my 1 week appointment at Mya. I didn’t really do much except from walking around my house..
Try and keep them on for as long as you can. Xx

Oh my gosh, no one told me any instructions, I took them off that night as soon as I got home!
I think it’s essential to wear them whilst you’re not very mobile, i.e. in bed, but you should be walking around and stuff the next day, so I figured it was ok.
I had 2 Caesarians and then was only told I needed them whilst in hospital. Xx

I was told to keep them on for 5 days I can’t bare my feet being overly hot especially in bed it was torched having them burn I took them off yesterday as I went to town. I had my op Monday so I had them in 4 days I’d defo recommend having them on as long as you can xx

I kept mine on overnight after surgery but took them off them off the next afternoon as i never really sat down at all after that, i was more mobile than i would normaly be as i found i coped better with the pain on my feet, kept them on for 3 days after c-section but was in a wheelchair so obviously needed to xxx
