Hey girls, so its day 2 of having 450cc overs from a 32 A. Must admitt i’ve been in a lot of pain as the great painkillers they give u at the hospital has obv worn off and last night i couldnt sleep whatsoever. I know its early days so I’m not getting deflated about it just carrying on. My PC hasnt even called me since the op so the questions i need to ask i will have to call the nurse. Boobs feel like theyre under my armpit haha but i think one is starting to soften. Im keeping mobile today to keep the muscles moving. Does anyone know what helps to get the swelling down? Ill definitely be taking sleeping tablets tonight !xx

Have the hospital not sent you home with painkillers?

It’s not fair really. But oh well. We just have to hope we r doing everything right haha!
By the way I posted on here about a dead arm. My right arm feels like I’ve been punched m it’s gone a but dead haha under my armpit n ache is radiating down my arm.
U think its due to tight strapping?
I’m unsure about it n wondered if I had strained something x

Hiya, I’m 3 days post op and am in the same situation as you Yasmine! My PC hasn’t made any contact with me either! I became very swollen yesterday and started to worry so brought it upon myself to call the emergency nurse. She’s lovely! And reassured me everything was normal, she said when I feel tight to put frozen peas on my chest to reduce swelling which has helped! Keep taking painkillers and it should be a lot easier to manage. I’ve got rubber strapping on my entire chest which is definitely making it more hard to move. And feels more tight! Just try and bare with it for a few more days girls and the bandages will be off! Roll on the 18th xxx

I’m a week po now, my nurse rand on Monday to check how I was, then I’m there Monday to get strapping off, I have not needed any pain killers during the day, just been taking 2 paracetamol in the evenings and a antihistamine for the itching as the strapping is driving me mad now, mind I’m not sure I’m looking forward to this being taking off….ouch lol

Thanks girls.I was given anti biotics and cocodamol to take home but the cocodamol made me unable to go to the toilet so had a swollen stomach aswel to add to the list! Im changing it to paraceetomols & strong iboprufen today and seeing how i get on with that. You guys are right it is a bit crappy that they dont even send a text to ask how everything is going day after the op or something.
Hope you feel your arm again soon Sophie!!
Feeling a bit better today than yesterday so guess thats a plus..
I can do anything with my arms pick up things and if i wanted to i could put them above my head ( not that ill be doing that but im able to!) Its just the boobs that are killing.xx
