Hi ladies does anyone know the cost difference between a day case & overnight stay? I’m about an hour & 30mins from Highgate so probably need to stay. I’ve noticed a lot of you are booking hotels nearby instead.

Hi Kelly, my PC told me by going in as a day case I was saving £400 . I live just over an hour away from Highgate but fortunately they were ok with that x

I was a daycase but my admission time was 12.30pm, I ended up having my surgery about 4.30pm and leaving about 10.30pm, it was a long day but was happy to get home by the end of it. If you do stay over I would say to stay elsewhere as £400 is a lot of money and my room I was in during the day was a normal hospital room, there was nothing I would have paid any extra for! I would have been annoyed with myself if I’d have spent £400 to stay there until the next morning xx

I agree with Lauren, the hospital was nice and room was nice But for £400 oh no lol and the next day you have to be up and out by like 10am would feel like a bit pushed out for me! I stayed at my Nans who is about 45-60 mins from hospital and was nice to be there and comfortable rather than still being at the hospital! X

I was offered the overnight stay for 200 pounds extra as they were doing a price match with another surgery provider so its always worth trying to get the price down…but I decided on Day case anyway 7.30 admission 9.30 op 6.30 was discharged xxxx
